This is my version of the song from "Ronja Rövardotter / Ronia the robbers daugther" written by our most loved Swedish writer, Astrid Lindgren , whose books have been read all over the world. This song from the movie has always been very dear to me.
For a long time now I wanted to make my own version of it, and make some small changes in the melody. What do you think? :)

wanna inform the viewers on here that this lullaby is still being sung for our swedish children at night. I grew up hearing my mom sing it and now I sing it to my son. she truly capture the magic.

Hi, my family is from Sri Lanka. One day, this song popped up while we were trying to feed lunch to my 8-month-old son. Something unexpected happened: my baby ate without a problem. I thought it was because of the wolf in the video, but I soon realized he liked the song. Not just wolves; every night before going to sleep, we play this song for him, and sometimes he falls asleep to it.

This was the first thing I played for my daughter the day she was born.....she passed away on September 1st 2021 at less than 4 months.....this song always calmed her at night before bed....it will always live on in my heart with her.

My mother used to sing this song for me as a child. Now I got 4 children of my own and kind of forgotten about how much I used to love when she sang for me. Tomorrow I’m singing this for my children, making it a part of their childhood. Beautiful version Jonna!

Reason 85% of the earth can not see the winterway and all its stars are due to lightning from cities and towns. Most of the lights from sources are going upwards. There are solution to this where the equipment block lights from going up, but there is a reason they dont want us humans to see the clear sky. I just wish the entire humanity would wake up soon and realize we are nothing but slaves. A few people controll this world, we the many could make this a paradise. But fear is what is stopping you all. Only thing to do is to kill all the leaders, and the police that will protect them. I know its sad but there are no other way. It will just get worse.

It satiates a longing I’ve had for a long time hidden. For peace, for rest, for respite among the seas around filled with the pain of others I take on in order for life to flourish. And sadly I have went too far, I have lost parts of myself, and I cannot truly be whole anymore without what I’ve given. As a Swede, my take on this song is that of a strong, fearless, protective but humble Viking mother and woman. She sternly tells the hungry wolf to not come closer, and fiercely states that the hungry wolf will never ever be able to take her child (ungen min får du aldrig). But she also understands the animal is cold and sleepless and tosses him a pigs tail as a gesture of good will.
Very reminiscent of Swedish culture with powerful and strong women, and a society that is small and might fear other countries and cultures, but humble enough to not act aggressively and instead lead with an understanding.
Also, this song originates from the movie Ronja Rövardotter, whose Viking mother is portrayed as a strong, sensitive, smart and understanding woman while her brute husband only sulks, and acts in an immature manner. (Edited to keep this from being a man vs woman argument)

Yeah I know, but they are very “literal” and well, sounds unnatural. I fixed the placing of the words and grammar a bit to make the English version easier and more pleasant to read. The meaning of the lyrics are still the same, just modified a little from Swedish to English grammar.

I've come to a realization that I still can't find myself. That maybe am so far from finding myself. And this realization has come because I've had a sign that I may lose something am fighting for and that I cannot afford to lose. And I realize it's because of too many distractions; and am so numb to everything. To everyone. Even my mind has become numb. My feelings too. This is the first song I've thought of. This song makes me feel weird. Like I'm not truly home right now in my home. Like I should be there, that that's my home. I feel like a tug or a pull in my chest that's telling me I need to go home. My Norwegian grandmother used to sing to us in “the mother language” she called it when we were little. My Swedish grandfather would then sing in Swedish to drown her out. Lovely childhood with those two.

She has finished the treatment and is recovering now.. and waiting for the results of the last lab test.

I played this to my little nephew at nap time. He kept asking me what those lyrics meant. I told him that I didn't know because it's a different language than ours (Spanish), so I told him that you don't need to understand the lyrics to understand the feelings, you just have to close your eyes and flow with the rhythm. He loved it, and before the song ended, he fell asleep on my chest.
