I don't really care whether the PDC uses Unicorn or Winmau or Target or One80 or Mission boards. They need to be consistent in segment size and consistent in sisal density to avoid bounce outs or drop outs.
I got the same board and recently discovered your channel. Only yesterday I hit the first 180, so it was fun to see you do after a few minutes ... I am kind of happy still each time the dart hits the T20 (I guess it is still rare enough). Keep up the great work, greetings from Germany :)
i have have a blade 5 dual core with the BDO logo, i haven't thrown anything at it yet. and i'm gonna wait a few years when those boards become somewhat rare and when the BDO probably don't exist lol.
Just recently got in to Dart and bought myself the normal Blade 5 and I couldn't be happier real shame the PDC doesn't use these. Absolutely great boards Winmau makes

I've had mine for a couple of months now. Great board, I'm very happy with it. The wire does still mark etc and I have had a few bounce outs. Either way I think it sh!ts all over the unicorn equivalent. I don't understand why the PDC aren't using these over the unicorn ones. Anyway great video as always, be interesting to see your thoughts after a few months 👍🏻

The news is so depressing nowadays! 😩 This one is pretty nice though. The roto lock things are an added touch and certainly adds to the overall rating. I'll needs further testing to see how this one fares. I actually thought it would be a bit softer but surprisingly it's really firm. I like that a lot 👍
I've heard a lot of other people say "this board is better, that board is better etc.." and I really don't know why you would shoot on anything but a Winmau. I don't think from my experiences, any other board comes close to the quality and durability.

The last 3 blade 5 boards I’ve had have all had that kink on the 2 segment. I thought it was just a coincidence but now I’ve seen it’s on your board as well it makes me think they’re doing it on purpose possibly.
I'm ready to set up a board in my apartment and start throwing again. The Blade 5 DC seems to be the top rated board from what I've read, but there are also some horror stories (with pictures) on amazon for this board, and for the standard Blade 5. Not sure if those were people that wet their boards, or just didn't rotate, or what, but lots of similar issues. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say about the board after a few weeks of what I'm sure is much more than average use.

After watching this review and the one you did about the Gladiator which is your favorite. I have an older Blade and was thinking about changing to the Gladiator. But I am a thinking the Blade 5 is the best.
I suppose it all depends on where ya buy it. We get a royal screwing here in the USA on boards. But it's about $20usd more than the regular B5. Worth it? I'll let you know in the upcoming few months 👍
Just ordered one and i am super excited because i have been using a target pro tour out of curiosity. The pro tour is ok and i do not want to disrespect it as it does its job quite admirably but sadly it has the worst inner bull ring in the Galaxy. Aliens would choose to not make contact with us due to the poor design of the pro tours inner bull ring and even if they tried the sheer size and scale of the inner bull ring would probably block any incoming signals from the space ship.
You know what would look REAL good on this board? A set of Phil Taylor Gen 6 Darts!! Come on people...WWD needs just a few more subscribers (maybe a tad more than 'a few') to hit the first giveaway goal (board not included). Pas this around to new darters, old darters or people that may want to learn the great sport of darts.

The regular Blade 5 has the standard sisal biscuits compressed together and this board has a special outer core and then highly compressed biscuits underneath as the inner core.

@@kingjon5818 It's a really tough call. Both held up incredibly well. I'll give the very slight edge to this board though and that's based mostly on looks.
My board before the Mission was the regular Blade 5. Great board as well. So far I like this one a bit more solely based on the vein free looks. I'll have to see how it performs over the next few months though

I believe this is a higher quality board and the roto lock feature is incredible. The Mission board did well and is still in great condition after 5 months of use

I absolutely love my blade 5 dual core... not had a bounce out on it. Easily the best board I’ve ever owned.... the rotalock system is brilliant

You're going to REALLY enjoy the larger segments. The Blade 4 was running right around 8.8 - 8.9mm.

Never trust an Amazon review as most are horrible. I'll be doing a one month update on this shortly. This week. Maybe Tuesday.

It held up just fine and still looks great after 5 months but this was an early birthday present. Can't say no to a new board 😁

There’s a 15€ difference between dual core and basic blade 5 , which is better for price
I've had the regular one so I'll find over the next few months if this one is better
