- We take a break from our Scotland trip to bring you VanLife Festival 2024 in Shrewsbury.
There are so many Vanlife festivals every summer now, how do you choose? which ones are worth the sometimes considerable cost?
We open the lid on our thoughts on this one!

Poor Dolly. She was quite reluctant to say hi to Jess and Connie at Stratford. Hope she gains her confidence back. Happy birthday and thanks for taking us with you around Vanlife. x

when you come back to Shrewsbury, I recommend a visit to nearby Ironbridge which was the very first bridge to be made of iron in the world. I believe there is a park for the night by one of the old furnaces and a pub stop at the Half Moon pub also in Ironbridge

Took a long time , cleaning up the roof after removing the old one was a nightmare, all sorted and wired in … and your van is lovely, tough decisions 🙂❤️

It's so disappointing when a dog takes a dislike to your dog. There have been about 4 dogs in Sam's 14yrs in our home area that dislike Sam and I don't know why. He never retaliates. It must be because he is too friendly, he tries his best to avoid them now. But if I see them first I walk the opposite way. But it's awful that we have to avoid them.
Glad you had a fab time at van life fest. We are going to the Newark show next week.

That's what I like about you two, no frills videos, honest disheveled morning look that we all have, but some try to hide in their videos. It's your honesty that stands out, I loved seeing the mess in your van because it's real life. Are you going to video the Maxfan fitting?, I do hope so because it's a probable upgrade in my own van. Happy belated birthday Corrin. The festival looked fab! Your dogs have a fantastic life, shame about Dolly being attacked, pleased she's ok though. I'd have been there with my three if I had a motorhome. Have to learn to drive first though. It's on the to do list when I've saved enough for the lessons.

Now that looks like a van festival we'd go to. Dont get me wrong, we love a bit of fun and a laugh, but some we've seen on YT seem like its all about getting drunk and partying?🤷 Maybe its an age thing😁. Anyway, the food looked good! Now, where's my pipe and slippers? 😂😂
😂yes it can seem that way ! We don’t drink , and enjoy every minute of the festivals 👌🙂 but we do have slippers too 😬😂

Question: Do you drink the water that comes out of your taps/tank? How about if you boil it?
We carry bottled tap water , or buy water from the shops , we don’t drink from the taps , boiling it will make it drinkable , but it’s a faff , best is to carry bottles ❤️🙂

I’m interested in the fan you’re going to fit in the roof light, so I’m looking forward to seeing how that works out. What’s made you choose that over aircon? I’m going to give the festival a go next year, it looked really good! 😁
Hi and thanks for watching and commenting ❤️🙂 we don’t travel in peak summer, air-con is also quite power hungry , and as we off grid so much, it would take a hefty chunk of the batteries, most European sites are max 6 amp, which isn’t enough to power the average air-con .. we will fit 2 fans, one for intake, one for extract to circulate the air, be happy to share it on a vlog too 🙂🙂 and thoroughly recommend the festival too 👌👌

Aww bless dolly ❤ your dogs are gorgeous, I know this might sound daft but what colour are dolly’s eyes ? My spaniel wasn’t nasty apart from if the dog had green eyes he would attack it male or female , it was weird how he used to go on one . ❤
