- This time we realise our van keeps breaking as we lose the use of our oven and the cupboard doors no longer shut!
Is it the bumpy Scottish roads ruining our van?

"Bloody long walk!" You mean an extra two or three hundred metres. Poor you. If you check your map. If you had turned right at the car park entrance you could have gone off road and driven your van all the way up to the top of the Old Man and it would have saved any walking completely. Just a suggestion.

Yup, Pippa our 12 year old dog was no longer enjoying the walk , so we turned back , some people are just plain rude behind a keyboard 😬

Hi ya both, we recently did the NC500 in our motorhome and the car park at Kylesku Bridge was closed along with a couple of the passing places on the way to Ullapool for this Netflix series

@@redsgotravels we took them to all the places they loved around Scotland and skye on what would have been dads birthday 15th June we left a bit of them at John o groates ( they passed 3 month apart) so hopefully later this year we will do it again 6 years on x

I spent my honeymoon in Scotland. Luckily 40 years ago there were very few people on Skye and even fewer on Harris and Lewis. I am so glad we got to explore this magnificent area almost devoid of tourist. Thanks for taking me back to very happy times!

As my Sis lives in Shrewsbury, and now also has a Campervan (she's in Scotland right now for 3 weeks), I was interested in the Shrewsbury Show which you attended. Since watching your take on the show, i've watched videos from 4 other content creators who attended, and in three of them, either you or your dogs were seen..., just a useless piece of info I suppose, that I thought i'd mention. Oh well, now lets see what's awaiting me in this video.
Your vids have so far been, very easy on the eye to watch, and your style, of presenting is easy and laid back to watch and listen to, no matter who's on cam.

I recognised that car park when you pulled in but sadly, we didn't get to see a seal ☹️ and we didn't get to see the waterfall either thanks to how busy it was 😭Sadly we had to leave Scotland early but we have taken on a rescue Chihuahua that we've named Skye

We look after dogs for a living and understand your consternation around dogs attacking randomly.
We would suggest because Dolly and Pippa have long fur around their eyes and head then other dogs cannot read the body language.
We hope this helps, and maybe alleviate any further issues

Thanks both! I think this could be an issue. They are booked in with their groomer a week on Monday so I’m going to ask for them to both go much shorter. But I agree Dollys faces gets overgrown quicker than pips. It’s worth a try xx

Hi guys! Well your statement says is all. We will eventually head into Europe when the time is right for us, but there are so many beautiful places in the UK we've got so many places to visit here. Stir fry looked good😋. We're heading to Skye later on in the year, were hoping to sacrifice some good weather in exchange for hords if people🤞🤞. Kerp up the great videos 👩🦲👩🦳🐕🚐🏴🙂👍

Hi sorry from wrong video. I was wondering if you have fitted a compressor fridge . My Malibu camper van has one. Found a few issues to think about. We thought it would have 2 batteries fitted. But apparently it’s an extra for second battery. As the battery are not connected in parallel when fitted the second battery is a stand alone battery. For a back for your fridge . As it’s 12v .
Therefore I think for this country with less sunshine a large lithium may be a better plan .
We shall see as I’m going to fit a large lithium under seat 260 amp hour . Hope this is of some use to you .

Thanks Kevin, we haven’t got a compressor fridge, but it’s an upgrade we would like to do. You make some interesting points for us to consider
@@redsgotravels all my other vans both German and British vans had a 3 way fridge . This is our first compressor fridge and would recommend. Was only days behind you in Spain in February and march this year. We only used 4 kg LPG in 6 weeks

@@redsgotravels sorry I meant to also say we changed our 2 x 11 kg steel bottles. And replaced for 1 Safefill 10kg bottle £195 .
So lost a lot of weight and Morrisons and a lot of uk LPG places allow self filling.

Blimey, when we went to the Old Man of Storr back in early October 2016 we were the only ones there. I can't believe how rammed it is now!
