Yes! I vote "yes" to your "Turning of the Year" episodes. I enjoy them so much!
Hello Amber! yes, I got some new books which are really festive and inspiring so I'm feeling really motivated!
yes, yes, yes the Turning of the Year is wonderful and greatly appreciated!
It's coming, I got some new books and am very inspired!
Yes please to turning the year! Love that. What I love most about your podcast is that you display a variety of crafts. It’s short but meaningful and such a treat to watch. I don’t get bored. I am a knitter but I can tend to get bored just hearing about knitting straight for half an hour.
Thank you for your meaningful feedback!
Hi Sarah, I love the turning of the year episodes. They are so fun to watch and see what you’re up to. Gives me inspiration to do things I need to finish. Take care and can’t wait to see Rob weaving.
I got some new books which are really festive and inspiring so I'm feeling pretty motivated ;) Thanks as always for tuning in
Love turning of the year episodes 😊
I'm pretty sure it's going to happen ;)
Yes! Yes! Yes…to hoping that you’ll make your Turning of the Year videos. This was a great video; always inspiring.
Yes, it's coming. I got some new books which are super festive and inspiring. ;)
Another vote for turning of the year!
Thank you Sarah. Loved your turning of the year videos last year. 🏴
I think I'm going to do it...I got some new books which are super inspiring so it got the wheels turning...no pun intended ;)
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. Always inspiring and beautiful! Loved the lopi sweater you are wearing and the time lapse-photography. Will enjoy seeing the rugs or whatever you and Rob make on the loom.
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words and positive feedback ;)
Here’s another vote for your Turning of the Year videos. I was excited to recently find Folk Shawls at a library book sale. I haven’t made anything, but lots of great patterns. Hope your Ruby Romp was wonderful. Love your videos!
Score at the library yard sale! Yes, I'm planning to go ahead with the turning of the year. I got some inspiring, festive new books which has helped motivate me.
I’m just about to return to my loom after a break of several years. You have inspired me and given me even more enthusiasm for it. Thank you. 🌷
That warms the cockles of my fibery heart! Happy weaving!
Thank you so much for the weaving info leads. Love seeing your process of learning the floor loom, love even more that Rob is getting in on it as well. Looking forward to seeing your rugs.❤
Thanks Jess, I hope your look will be getting some action soon!
Hi Sarah! Sofias Podcast made me watch yours too….and subscribed immediately. I like your projects and especially that you don’t rush trough them so quickly. Thank you for your time spending with us. 🌟
I'm so glad you found me and Sofia's podcast is so good too! Thank you for tuning in.
Ohhh the weaving episode 😊
Sarah, I loved seeing the loom and your project evolve. I’m a handweaver, knitter and rug maker (punched rugs). It’s so nice to see you explore all your talents. Your sweater for your niece is lovely…I’m sure she will appreciate it! Happy knitting, spinning, and weaving!
Thank you! It's so nice to have it warped and looking all neat and beautiful.
Hi Sarah, Bless you as well. Love your podcast❤
Thank you Pat, I really appreciate the blessing :) So glad you're out there tuning in.
I love your Zora cardigan, it fits you perfectly.
I'm loving it more and more after an initial "meh" response but it's turning out to be the perfect outwear "chore" cardigan.
Hi Sarah, Lovely and calm episode as usual. I always enjoy your turning of the year vlogs in December. So if you have the time to make them, I’d watch them!
Thank you of your kind comments about the podcast! I got some new books which are really festive and inspiring and I am motivated to put together a turning of the year ;)
I find myself really looking forward to seeing what you're working on, whatever that may be. Hopefully you will find the time for a Turning of the Year series. I find myself quite in sync with a "stranger/friend from the internet." Lol Such a comforting and familiar feeling spending time tuning in. 😊 Much love!
Thank you! I'm seriously contemplating Turning of the Year...espeically inspired my a few new books I picked up. "stranger/friend" much love right back at ya!
I've been watching your videos for quite a while now, and I think this is my first time commenting. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos. I really love your turning of the year series, so if you're able to do it, I would gladly watch this year!
Thank you for taking the time to share your kind thoughts. I got some new books which are very festive and inspiring and this is motivating me!
Really enjoyed your Turning of the Year series last year!
It's on the agenda...especially after a few new books I picked up!
Really enjoy your podcast! I am intrigued by the idea of a “turning of the year” and would definitely tune in to “participate” in that if you are inspired to do it. Best wishes. ✨✨✨
Thank you! I got some new books which are really inspiring and festive...so it's got me motivated!
Love your videos 😊 when I was at Rhinebeck this past weekend, I bought a skein of Tidal Yarns.
Oh Hurray! I hope you love it. Patricia is such a special gal. Happy Knitting!
Hi Sarah! I ordered both of the folk art books several weeks ago after they came up on my amazon recommended books. They are such fun books to use as project inspiration!
Looking forward to seeing what you make from the books, Amber!
That goes for me too. I may have to see if I can find them in the library, since I've purchased some yarn from TWT that I'd like to use for a shawl.
Oh Amazon recommendations ;). But apparently great minds think alike and have really good taste. I hop you're enjoying them!
Great podcast as always! I have one of those looms that has been sitting patiently waiting for me. Thanks for the inspiration to get back to it❤️
Hi Carole! thank you! thank you! I hope you find your way back to the loom. Sheesh..though getting these things going takes a lot of hutzpah!
Your sweater is beautiful and I am enjoying these newly found podcasts.
Hurray! I'm so glad you found me and are enjoying the podcast!
I recently found an unfinished hoodie made of Alafoss Lopi. The yarn, needles & pattern were stolen. No one sells Alafoss Lopi in Calgary. I posted on a local knitting group if by chance anyone had 3 Acorn Heather in stash. Got a message from a lady I dont know. She is in Iceland, found my yarn and is purchasing for me. Gotta ❤️ knitting serendipity! I too will soon enjoy an Alafoss Lopi sweater. Cant wait!
I was in Calgary this past weekend and went to the farmers market. There was a woman there with beautiful alpaca lopi style yarn. Her shop is called aandbfibreworks. She has a website too. I made a lovely alafosslopi sweater for my partner last winter. It's beautiful to work with. Happy knitting 🙂
@@normajeanrobinson5011 I know Anne well and have lots of her Fibre products. She is my goto source for many products and does special orders for me. She is a great community resource. Thank-you.
Well that knitters for you! I'm so glad you were able to find some lopi. And I can't believe no one sells Alafoss Lopi in Calagary! I hope you're enjoying the project!
Nice to see the floor loom dressed :) curious why you chose stick shuttles over boat? Due to thick yarn?
Yes, the boat shuttle won't hold very much bulky yarn although I wish I could use boat shuttles as I think it would be easier!
Sarah, I've come across several CZcams videos featuring knitting with Nutiden. It always seemed to be fragile as if held together by nothing. How durable are items make with it? And is breakage of the fiber an issue while using it?
I'm working with it using a mohair strand in a sweater which is working well. I am also working with it as a single strand and it does break frequently although you can layer it back together easily. My friend Nicole loves her finished items...they're airy and warm but not meant for outdoor chores like hauling wood and snowplowing ;). I think when doubled it would preform well.
