    Hello, I agree the Poet sweater motif is so so lovely. I made it in a summer cotton and linen top twice, dropped shoulders, in a long sleeved winter sweater, I would have done it in a bathing suit and night shift if I could !!

      I'm planning an anthology of poet motif things - I like the idea of a sock next.

    Hello! So great to meet you at Bendi! Your levitate-ish wrap looks glorious even if you're not convinced ❤

      Stop it. Haven't been this excited about a comment since the Yarn Harlot commented on my old blog in, like, 2010. Running into you two was one of the highlights of my day!. Our weekend ended up being a Victorian cocktail bar crawl with a side of wool show. Thanks for commenting..

    Yes, please vlog your visit to the Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show. I have never been but plan to visit one day with my knitting friend or ‘yarn enabler’ 😂😊. I hope you have a wonderful trip. Thanks again for a great video.

    Colour looks great and I think the texture looks quite nice. Sometimes we get so close to our knits and when we have to fix things, it just becomes so difficult. I’m drawn to wraps but I also am not sure if I want all that bulk. Your mods make sense. Hope you have fun at Bendigo thanks for sharing, Karen 🥰

      Thanks, I do like the colour too. They can’t all be one’s favourite can they? I think I might try a different pattern next time. What are you making?

      @@Wearewoolpeople Heading down the rabbit hole of making my own very basic pieces. I want to knit all the fun things but keep reaching for the boring basics so it's time "to get real!" . But ask me next week and who knows!! I've almost finished a linen vest called Vest Claire, not that I'll be wearing it anytime soon!! Stay warm and happy knitting!

    The colour of the wrap is very good on you, but you are not happy with the result. Wouldn’t you rather unravel and use the exclusive yarn for a garment you will love to wear? It might be frustrating with the time you have spent knitting and modifying, but the wrap will perhaps end up unworn in your wardrobe? What about a cozy sweater or a simple, buttoned cardigan where the bulky yarn combination could blossom? I cannot help thinking that the designer has suggested a yarn combination far too bulky for a double edged wrap. Thank you for sharing :)

      Hi Kris! I’ve already frogged it completely once and I’m not confident the yarn will hold up to another frog. I hope I do get at least some wear out of it. I completely agree about the bulky yarn being not the best choice for the designer, particularly in the front.

    After using the wrap to keep you warm at Bendigo, frog it if you think you wont wear it again. Truthfully, it reminds me of a dressing gown. Reuse the yarn and knit the Jenny Jacket by Petite Knits. It has a lovely pattern. Its next on my list. Maddie fm Fruity Knitting is currently knitting it. A nice knit is the Field sweater. Enjoy Bendigo. One day I will get there fm SA.

      I wish I could frog it again to be honest, but it's already been frogged once and I don't think the fluffy yarn will stand up to another one. I've decided it's a work from home comfort piece, so it will be worn, just not too much in public. I hope you do get to Bendigo one year, it is a great weekend. I do like the Jenny jacket and the Field sweater too though. So many choices out there.

    I have had the Levitate wrap in my queue for so long. I want it to work so badly, but fear I will have the same disappointment you had. I think after watching you I will finally give up the ghost and say this is just not for me.

    • @Wearewoolpeople
      @Wearewoolpeople  Před 12 dny

      It was a disappointment for sure, I wanted to love it so much. I think maybe the May Ball wrap or one of the others might have been a better choice. Maybe next winter. Let me know what you end up choosing instead if you do make a wrap, I'm interested to know. Thanks for commenting! Ailsa
