🌟Hi Sarah, I am so glad that I found your podcast. You are so inspiring to try out different crafts… I think I have buried all my creativity under daily life the past years. So happy that I can start off the new year with you by watching this turning of the year episode. While I was at my sister's over the holiday, we watched the movie Nyad. In doing a little research afterward, I learned that the people who were involved in making the movie are going to start filming one based on the Shakleton excursion to Antarctica and I thought of you immediately. You have led me many places both literally and figuratively since finding your channel and I look forward to teetering on the edge of more rabbit holes in 2024😅 Blessings, peace and wishes for many creative journeys for you as we move forward.

You should check out Swedish Kerstin Neumüller. I think her weaving book is available in English. Her approach to simple weaving includes carving your own heddle.

❤your tablet weaving looks incredible. It has always been on my list of things to learn "someday" but it seemed too intimidating. You're right though, with all the resources on youtube maybe it's time.
It's time! Checkout Pinterest for patterns too if you have access to that platform. I found the payoff to be immediate although the warping as usual was the hardest part.

I will be retiring from elementary art teaching in June this coming year, and looking forward completing my studio set up, spinning, weaving, mixed media art quilting and papercrafting, which I have over the past 30 years only been able to dabble in as time allowed, what with raising 3 children, restoring and 18th century home, and working. You are living my creative life to be! Thanks for sharing your insights, multimedia projects, and artistic processes. Although I don't know you, I want to wish you all the joy you can find when you venture into your 3rd or is it 4th life to come. From someone who worked in the social services for over 30 years, my 20+ years of retirement have been very fulfilling (once I settled into the reality 😅) May you live your richest life in a new way!

Happy New Year! Well time is a challenging concept for sure. Sometimes I set a timer for 30 minutes and then rotate between a few projects saving my knitting for the evening. Or I try to multi task which doesn't always go well ;). I think once I;m done with the auntie knitting It will allow me to shift gears a little.
I love tablet weaving. I wanted to share a simple, and satisfying, project I do with tablets and the inkle loom. Using John Mullarkey's 10 card patterns and size 10 cotton I weave shoelaces. The idea is actually from a class I took with Mullarkey. I'm going to post my boots and laces on Instagram and will tag you.

Dear Susie, thank you for your interest. If you join Patreon you'll have access to all the back bonus vlogs for as long as you're a member. I only have one tier which is a base pledge of $3.00 per episode and there are typically two episodes per month so $6.00 total. I also post bonus vlogs for Patrons every month so a possible total of three videos. Ko-Fi is more of a one time donation. I have been attempting to send monthly contributors a link to the bonus vlog for the month they donated in. Is this helpful? I will make a point to review these platforms on my next edition.
