      Emily has speculated on this, and I have to say I agree. This feels like the prosecutor was told that he was bringing this to trial regardless of how he felt about all of it. I have never before seen a trial with a prosecution that was this scattered and seemingly apathetic. Times where an objection feels like it would help, but there is none, even times where the judge seems to prompt the prosecution to object rather than them doing it themselves.
      Defense on the other hand is clearly passionate, and very particular about when they object and how they ask questions. I understand they have more rope on cross than CW has on direct, but the difference between the rambling what if any questions is stark.

      And where is his coat. I mean no one asked if he had a coat on when he left the bar. I would imagine he did in a blizzard, but the coat was not on when he was found in the snow. Can you believe defense didn’t ask any of those 15 witnesses @ the waterfall if he had a coat on inside or outside? I guess he did have a jacket on but not much was made by defense of what happened to it. I don’t think defendant is big enough to remove it from him in an unconscious state. So that means he went into the house AND TOOK HIS COAT OFF! The shoe was probably in the back or side yard outside the fence. If they had even walked the yard they would have found it.

      @@platedlizard I've heard from some other commenters that they both would also attend parties together and both were on the track team (and in a class with only a couple hundred people in total, the track team probably doesn't have too many people on it), so it's a little more than just one picture of a class trip - which someone else mentioned is actually a spring break trip, which, if true, would most likely make them pretty good friends, though I guess it depends on how many people went on that trip. If it was like 50 people, there's a chance that they could just have some mutual friends, but if there's only like 10 people, I'd say it's pretty likely that all 10 are pretty good friends with each other.
      I didn't watch the trial today, but someone also mentioned that there's a picture of them drinking and hugging each other - though that may be the same "class trip" picture. If it was a high school class trip, I doubt they'd be allowed to drink like that.
      Edit: just noticed Always_Thinking's comment that the beer/hugging picture was apparently from 2021. If that's true, then she's definitely lying.

    I remembered it snowed, the street at the bottom is like a slope, Karen was framed (the defense said), Karen phone was taken and someone looked for nudes, and no one at the house came out with all that going on. Also the prosecution needs a red laser. Who said go with green?

    • @platedlizard
      @platedlizard Před měsícem

      @@sailorv9118I understand why the shoe matters (for the prosecution: people who are hit by cars are often knocked out of their shoes, for the defense: "they" forgot to bring his shoe out to his body when they staged the scene) but I don't think either side has explained it yet.

    • @sailorv9118
      @sailorv9118 Před měsícem +2

      Yeah, I’m a trauma nurse, I get that. I just don’t buy it based off of the damage on the car and his wounds. Shoes can also come off when someone is dragged on the ground. 🤷🏼‍♀️The prosecution has a lot further to go to prove this case to me.

      @minix61 Před měsícem +9

      @tinykitsune0387 also found it odd that she wouldn't have known the brother, like they'd have all been in the same school? Especially if you work in the same line of work, not uncommon for police to call emt and vice versa.

    • @Blackened30
      @Blackened30 Před měsícem

      I don't see it. She was probably being evasive, yes, but I'd also have been evasive too when facing down a lawyer in court who seemed intent on twisting my words and badgering me until i agreed with him. At that point you are getting the minimum from me. There are mistakes in every investigation, but most of them are what I'd consider "stupid" mistakes, the kind that automated systems make. The defense hasn't shown me any grand conspiracy yet, just the same kind of tech errors that I'm very familiar with. On the other hand, the prosecution hasn't shown me a single reason why they brought this case either. If all you have is a statement made during a time of heightened emotion that only one or two people heard, that's not enough. You need a smoking gun or lots and lots of small points of evidence. Its still early, but I'm waiting for the prosecution to tell me why they believe she did it.

      Exactly, the police work with the firefighters. How could Katie McLaughlin not know two canton police officers? As a juror they are questioning why Katie was so evasive and didn’t know the property or who lived there. And the name Albert will trigger what the opening statements said about the Albert family.

    Just so people are aware Officer John O'Keefe's parents moved into his house where he was living w/ the kids to prevent more disruption to their lives than necessary after everything they've been. Vinnie from courttv went to the house to film some clip pieces & perform some experiments with his rented SUV. (His reenactment of the 3 point turn & what the prosecution thinks happened is on courttv's channel btw.) He was a couple houses away probably getting his camera and stuff ready when a FedEx or delivery truck of some kind pulled up next to him and asked what he was doing. Vinnie told him he was with courttv and just wanted to get a couple shots the guy told him "NO YOUR NOT! YOUR GOING TO LEAVE. THE FAMILY HAS BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH. I LIVE ON THIS STREET AND WAS FRIENDS WITH JOHN. " Vinnie said he started to get teary-eyed. Vinnie told him he had heard the house was sold and the kids were living with the grandparents now. He thought the house was vacant or under new ownership. He apologized and said no problem we'll just figure something else out. Vinnie is a good guy, so this neighbor got out his truck and told Vinnie I thought I recognized you and they went on talking & ended on a good note. So the street John lived on is extremely protective over John's house and family being dragged into this sh!+ show. I don't blame him. I'm just worried the kids who you know have access to youtube, tiktok, etc are curious about what was is going on and being said and going online to see. I imagine the family is trying to shield them from things but with this much attention it's got to be impossible.
