My brother and his now ex-wife had a house with underfloor heating. She used to put the washing around the edge of the rooms to air.

Sarah pet, I love your accent (I'm Canadian living in Northern Ireland) and I think during this crap time with hoarding, panic buying I COULD WRITE YOU A 3 HOUR SHOW! but seriously, we definitely need more shows of your comedy because you are good for the soul! I am in the process of buying my parents' house, my childhood home (we lost my Mum late last May). It's tough, trying to figure out how to throw away all of their 60+ years' worth of stuff, to make room for my 35+ years' worth of stuff

Reminds me of when I explain to my American father in law what a W*nk*r was ..(the 1st missing letter is A the 2nd is E ;) ) It was a light bulb moment for him as he realised what all the Birthday cards etc were saying...the BARK of laughter..that then built was a beautiful thing..(( he was a Staff Sgt ))

I have lived in Queensland for near 55 years and we have always had high set houses in that time. Most of those did have external stairs, but you still needed to go up and down them at various times.
