My cat one night was out hunting, and I'm use to him bringing big bugs in for me to see. But one night, he came in, mouth full, jumped next to me, and gave me the prettiest White Rock! I teared up. It was so precious. He laid it in my lap. I know have this rock in a small jewelry box I keep on my night stand next to my bed. Might sound strange, but it was the most wonderful gift I've ever received.

The fact that my cat is called Aslan and is notorious for doing massive poops in the litter box made this all the funnier 😂
I love the audience participation moments. It's also brave of any comic to go "off script" and then have to think fast as you have no idea what they're going to yell out, she does it so well too. She is hilarious :-D
No such thing, they know the answers most of the time because people are pretty predictable.

@mike A you build a fairly sizable portfolio over the years, much of it fairly easily transferrable. Still, comics do usually take quite a few audience inputs before one comes that line up well enough with what you have on your mind.

Guess I've been living under a rock as I've only just discovered Sarah Millican. She's brilliant! I gonna be calling everyone 'flower' now!
Just found her 2 days ago and can't get enough. From Canada and can't quite understand every word she says because of the accent, but love the cultural differences and it makes it even more interesting and funny.
I've been calling my girlfriend "flower" since 3 days and she's beyond confused asking "what's wrong with me". I love it.
Another phrase I noticed is "Bless your cotton socks for believing that love."

My two cats - brother and sister from the same litter - are generally indoor cats. When I let them put to play, Miller, the boy, brings me in dead leaves and sticks. His sister, Trapp, brings me in small animals that are 3/4 dead just so she can make me watch her make the killing blow/bite. She did this once, in front of Miller, and the mouse was only stunned, so he grabbed it, ran outside and dropped it beside the fence where the mouse promptly came to and scurried away!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I honestly don't think he's got a killing instinct! 🤣

I have the same situation w brother/sister cats, except Rosie brings in the sticks and Titus brings the live animals in. Once it was a bird that started flying all over the house until I caught it and released it.
She’s the funniest female doing standup ANYwhere! Also the best audience participation I’ve ever seen. Genius!

I have an indoor outdoor cat who once brought home a puppy, it was a half jack russell puppy that starved and covered in flee's so we kept him but most interesting treasure from my cat so far

A cat my Mum had when I was a child used to catch snakes and bring them inside for gifts for Mum... Eastern Brown snakes.... alive.... in the house. I’m surprised we all, including the cat, lived as long as we all have.
My cousins cat did the same thing. Thank goodness my Auntie was a snake handler...
Daphne S our cat did that once, too...as well as live bird, lizard, mouse, and baby rabbit on Christmas Eve! Also often found the remaining internal organ of something.
In all seriousness, cats can kill a snake and the snake generally can't hurt the cat, especially something like an Eastern Brown. They have very small fangs, and cats normally have fairly thick fur. The snake isn't able to actually get the fangs through the skin so they're defenceless. I learned this at a presentation done by some professional snake catchers recently - cats really are bad news for a lot of snakes!

Browns are also pretty physically weak as they rely on their tremendous venom. Still pretty bad assed though.
My ginger cat was an indoor and outdoor cat in his later years when he just slept all the time and was blind, so the cat flap was always open for him to come and go as he pleased.
That was all well and good until the birds started noticing the gap. Just giant blowflies really, get in through the smallest hole but can't get out an open door. Timothy never gave them much notice. Pigeons and black birds would waltz into the house and Timmy would just stare at them blankly and go back to sleep.

Friend of mine told me a story once about her passing out drunk while eating a hotdog. The cat had snatched it from her leaving a trail of condiments down her shirt! Woke up with the bun still in her hand.

My cat stole a sausage out of my neighbour's frying pan while it was still on the stove. I only found out when she came round for something or other and spotted the cat on the sofa.
I once brought home a barbecue from B&Q.
My cat waited until my very proper inlaws were visiting to dash in with my stocking suspender belt and, with loud growls, try to kill it in the middle of the living room.

My old indoor/outdoor tiny cat Simon. Came to me while I was washing dishes. and rubbed on my ankles. Purr the usual. I looked down "hi Simon!" ... Meow .... Swish tail side to side .... Holy crap i see two tails! She brought me a present! Most of the back end of a squirrel! The tail and one leg ... 😥😥😥 that was my gift and it was thankfully not still twitchy ...
I'm watching this while eating lunch alone and when the lizard matching started I was laughing so hard and so loud I got dirty looks! 😂😂😂😂 THE BEST!!

My cat will literally play with the poor half dead buggers on the patio (I wont let him in with it!) And as soon as it dies you see him look at me like a child who's favourite toy just ran out of battery. I love him but cats are absolutely savage

Cats are small, adorable, furry killing machines. That is why people used to keep cats as a natural pest control.
Actually, they bring home have living things as a gift to you. It's trying to teach you how to hunt, like it does with it's kittens. Since you don't capture and eat it, it never loses patience and keeps trying to teach their slow learning humans. So I'm told by my BIL, the Vet.

And apparently the reason cats like coming into the bathroom with you while you're on the loo is because while someone's doing their business, they're vulnerable to anything that might attack them, so the cat's keeping an eye out for them. It's probably also why one of my cats would usually wait until I was in the room to use the litterbox.

mine brings back sparkley things..... like a magpie.... so sweet wrappers, hair bands, red rubber bands from the postie, balloons etc etc..... I had to go and apologise in advance to my neighbours that if a pair of knickers or a bra went missing from their laundry drying thing and it was on my front door mat, that it wasn't me, it was my bloody cat bringing back little treasures......

@@exceltraining With some considerable embarasement. Worse, it was the kindergarten class teddy, that goes home each weekend with a differnt kid, who then has to tell a story on Monday about what Teddy did.

When my cat was about 15, he stopped bringing us dead animals. Me and my mom was wondering whether he was finally getting too old to hunt, and the cat just looked at us... That very same night he called outside my window to open the door, the way he used to when he wanted to come inside... He didn't want to come inside though, he just wanted to show off the big, fat mouse he'd caught. It was like he was making a point, showing me he could still do it, just preferring not too... It was the last animal he ever brought back too, even though he lived 3 more years 🤔

When I lived in Phoenix,AZ, my 2 cats would catch sand lizards; when I cleaned behind the TV or sofa, I'd find parts of the lizards. I'm very glad they were very small ...not much to clean up..It was too hot to grow grass, so our back yard was all
sand and dirt. So there were lizards aplenty!!!!

My current cat brings in mice and baby birds. My neighbour knows if it is a mouse because he hears me and my child's hysterical screams as if a murderous bloodbath is occurring. So glad when the knock on the door is from the neighbour and not child protective services. I never ask questions about where the little critters go.
My childhood cat bought home live ducklings and the whole family was running around the front garden once trying to gather the ducklings with one of us trying to hit the cat over the head with a broom to get a duckling from his mouth. He also bought home a tortoise the size of him! It was dead, hadn't realised how long their necks were, looked like what I imagine an old man's floppy wanger looks like! Shrivelled, wrinkly and grey in colour 🤮
Please be kind and think about keeping your cat indoors at dawn and dusk, when the parent birds are searching for food for their chicks. Look for more info on RSPB website, love cats and human activity kills more birds than cats, but we all can do a little help, sure your cat loves you and is just being a cat, xxx

I was watching this on my phone with my earbuds in. Had to stop the video twice to catch my breath. I was laughing so hard I couldn't get any air in. My husband thought I was choking.
My grouchy old cat used to pluck birds right out of the air by jumping on them off a rooftop, or pluck moles right out of the lawn... but his best trick was hauling in a MASSIVE wild rabbit from the warren that had taken up residence one of the empty lots nearby!
I learned later that the reason cats bring animals to you still a little bit alive is that it’s the same thing they do for their kittens when they’re just learning to hunt and they need to practice? So they’re doing that because they’ve never actually seen you hunt, so they don’t think you CAN and are worried that you’ll starve if you don’t learn?? XD
Which is kind of precious, really, but still a bit traumatizing when you’re 7 or 8 years old and the cat brings you a wild rabbit *nearly the size of HIM*, clearly gasping its last, and looks at you like “here you go, kiddo, softened him up for you, now you try!” XD
I miss that crazy old cat, he was nearly as old as me (we got him from a friend who found him in a barn on their property they were knocking down, still a tiny kitten, when I was maybe four years old), he never fully grew out of his feral ways and always behaved a bit like a drunken old man even as a kitten, grumbling and stumbling and hunching himself up like an owl in hard-to-reach places, but he was a dependable yard-cat and he liked to come in and sleep on my pillow next to me when it got cold in the winter... he finally passed a few years back, when I was at my junior year of college... I still have pics on my phone of him, Rest In Peace old buddy ♥️
