u have not jailbroken . Only if u do it the core services can be accesed . Jus getting an adaptor wont work .

Another reason to get rid of Iphones and Ipads. Built to where you need special flash drives built with lightning connects on one end and USB on the other. Can't just plug in an OTG adapter and go. Have to jail break, have to connect a million pieces. We bought a micro usb to USB adapter for my dad's android and plugged a standard store bought pendrive in and we were good, reading files and pdf's no problem. Apple and their bullshit licensing requires everything to be specially designed to where you need to either by specialized equipment or hack your phone.
if you don't want an apple product that is fine. some of us like the user interface. so if we have to buy a special connector why do you really care?

It's just that if English isn't first language, abbreviations can make it almost impossible to understand. This will help if you write instructions for anything professionally. Ever try reading translated instructions from a cheap chinese imported thingy? (or even an Antec Kuhler instruction sheet). Almost incomprehensible.

Windows has a "safely remove hardware" feature, is there any similar feature when using this routine to prevent a thumb drive from becoming corrupt due to some removing the thumb drive while the drive was still being written?

Hello, have you tried this with a 2TB external hard drive with usb 3.0? would work with it if I flash my external hard drive in FAT32? will it need a powered hub with external hard drive or just a non-powered hub like yours? thanks!
it wont . although it boots up the hard disk it doesn hav enuf power to read .

+LiveLoveLaugh i have not tried with ios 9 . As far as i know the ipad should be jailbroken for it . Any powerless hub u can use . Only if u use a hub the usb will get detected . But if u dont want to jailbreak , u can use OTG pendrives , like say , iKlips which is more easy than this .

thaat guuy Yup . As long as it is recognised and the ipad is jailbroken . You need manual usb wire with two input to supply added power to the hard disk as the ipad cant provide enough power for the HDD

Nïhårika Gangoli Well first of all your ipad should be jailbroken . Secondly , external harddisk needs power . Its not like pendrives . So in that case you should hav a usb cable with two usb port connected to one microusb port . such cables are available on any computer shops . you should plug one to power probably a usb power socket and another to the ipad . It will get detected and you can copy and paste . But the process involves many wirings .
