  • We examine the Hajj ritual performed by millions of Muslims using the Qur'an. This is a classic example of twisting general words in the Qur'an to support an idolatrous practice.

What about chapter 5 verse 97 of the quran which describes the place in Petra as the "sacred house", meaning a god like house on earth so can give god a earthly, idol image with the standing stones being an idol. If it is referred to as that then it is being ascribed to by god surely? This is breaking the rule of chapter 4 verse 48, where it forbids ascribing any partners of this earthly world to god. Ascribing partners to god is one of the two types of shirk/idolatry. Does that make the quran a contadictory book, or have I got something wrong or misenterpreted something? If I have got something wrong then please just say by explaining with whatever evidence any of you have.

    Salamun alaikum
I heard an argument, from a brother also in the Qur'an alone paradigm, brother Baba Shuayb, about hajj not meaning debate because we are told not to argue during the hajj, which would make no sense if the word meant debating.
Altough debating does make sense to me, i wonder if it really is the case here or not, some say words can indeed have multiple meanings.
For instance in Spanish, Como and Cómo, in this case the acent does change, but it's quite subtle. One means "I eat" and the other meand "How?"
Now, the Qur'an was revealed in a "clear arabic tongue" so i'm not saying this is the case, also it claims to be consistent...
So this is something i still am thinking about tbh.

By accepting historical habits literature we can easily continue our research and identify good lessons from them. Everyone know they cannot be as perfect as the quran. None of the historical literature is perfect. But we still study it and make sense of it. What's wrong with that after all we have a brain given to us to make use of. So instead of making thinks so black and white, we can be mote complex and have capability to grade evidence based on how sound it is ... we do that l the time in science and other history when we read and research around it.

The Four Sacred Months for pilgrimage are July (Ramadhan), August, September and October every year since the creation of the Heaven and the Earth. Pilgrimage/Hajj is to be performed in Saudi Arabia where Mount Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina are located, and not in Petra (Jordan) as falsely claimed by certain parties.
And the one chosen and authorized by God to explain such prophecy and its authenticity is none other but Elias, the reincarnated Elijah. Moreover such fact is confirmed by God's Signature, the Mathematical Miracle Code 19, that bears God's attributes, the First(1) and the Last(9), Alpha(1) and Omega(9), the Beginning(1) and the End(9), the Outermost(1) and the Innermost(9).

Hajj shall be observed in the specified months*. Whoever sets out to observe Hajj shall refrain from sexual intercourse, misconduct, and arguments throughout Hajj. Whatever good you do, God is fully aware thereof. As you prepare your provisions for the journey, the best provision is righteousness. You shall observe Me, O you who possess intelligence. (2:197)

You shall file together, with the rest of the people who file, and ask God for forgiveness. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful. (2:199)
Once you complete your rites, you shall continue to commemorate God as you commemorate your own parents, or even better. Some people would say, "Our Lord, give us of this world," while having no share in the Hereafter. (2:200)
Others would say, "Our Lord, grant us righteousness in this world, and righteousness in the Hereafter, and spare us the retribution of Hell." (2:201)
Each of these will receive the share they have earned. God is most efficient in reckoning. (2:202)
You shall commemorate God for a number of days (in Mena); whoever hastens to do this in two days commits no sin, and whoever stays longer commits no sin, so long as righteousness is maintained. You shall observe God, and know that before Him you will be gathered. (2:203)

FOR GOD IS UPON MANKIND TO ARGUE (HIJJU) THE INSTITUTION (BAYT) FOR WHOEVER IS ABLE TO FIND IT THE WAY (TO ARGUE OR TO PREACH WITH ARGUMENT)
Indeed, initiating the Institution (BAYT) set up for mankind (NAS) is surely which is by conviction (bi-bakkata),- blessed and a guidance for the worlds (3:96)
Concerning it are clear signs/verses/revelations (AAYAT), the position/standing/Status (MAQAAMU) of Abraham. And whoever enters/introduces it attains security/assurance. And FOR GOD IS UPON MANKIND (NAS) TO ARGUE (hijju) THE INSTITUTION (BAYT) for WHOEVER IS ABLE to find to it a WAY (sabeel). But whoever disbelieves/rejects - then indeed, God is free from need of the worlds. (3:97)
GOD HAS MADE SANCTIONS/COMMANDMENTS OF OBEDIENCE/COMPLIANCE (AL-MASJID AL-HARAAM) FOR ALL MANKIND (NAS) EQUALLY, SO PROMOTE IT TO MANKIND AS THE ARGUMENT (AL-HAJJ).
Indeed, those who disbelieve and divert from the way of God and from the Sanctions/Commandments of Obedience/Compliance (AL-MASJID AL-HARAAM) which WE HAVE MADE IT FOR MANKIND(NAS) EQUALLY, whether its adherents and its observers and whoever intends therein with deviation or wrongdoing , We will make him taste of a painful punishment. (22:25)
PROCLAIM AMONG MANKIND (NAS) WITH THE ARGUMENT (AL-HAJJ) TO LET THEM CONJOIN/ENTER THE INSTITUTION (BAYT) OF GOD AS FAMILY/FELLOWSHIP/COMPANIONSHIP OF THE BELIEVERS
And when We assigned/set to Abraham the condition/stipulation of the Institution: “DO NOT associate anything with Me; and cleanse My Institution (BAYT) for those who conjoin, and those who stand firmly, and those who are humble and those who comply/make obeisance” (22:26)
And proclaim among the people with the argument (Al-Hajj); they will come to YOU (KA) on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass .(22:27)
That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of God in known days over what He has provided for them of animal livestock. So eat from it, and feed the unfortunate poor. (22:28)
Then let them conclude state of denial, and perform their vows/promises, and conjoin the proper Institution (BAYT). (22:29)
All that. Whoever venerates the sanctions of God-it is good for him with his Lord. All livestock are permitted to you, except what is recited to you. So stay away from the abomination of idols, and stay away from perjury. (22:30)
Being true to God, without associating anything with Him. Whoever associates anything with God-it is as though he has fallen from the sky, and is snatched by the birds, or is swept away by the wind to a distant abyss. (22:31)
FOLLOW THE ROLE MODEL ABRAHAM WHEN HE PROMOTED THE PRINCIPLES OF INSTITUTION (BAYT) .
And when his Lord tested Abraham with certain words, and he fulfilled them. He said, “I am making you a role model for mankind.” He said, “And from my descendants?” He said, “My pledge does not include the wrongdoers.” (2:124)
And We made the Institution (BAYT) a medium (of return) for the people, and a security/assurance, and took from the standing/position/status (MAQAM) of Abraham as one who commit/follow (MUSALLAN). And We took pledge with Abraham and Ishmael, “Cleanse My Institution (BAYT) for those who conjoin, and those who adhere, and those who humble in obeisance.” (2:125)
When Abraham said, “O My Lord, make this a peaceful land, and provide its people with fruits-whoever of them believes in God and the Next Day.” He said, “And whoever disbelieves, I will give him a little enjoyment, then I will consign him to the punishment of the Fire; how miserable the destiny!” (2:126)
And when Abraham promotes/raises the principles of the Institution (BAYT), together with Ishmael, “Our Lord, accept it from us, You are the Hearer, the Knower. (2:127)
Our Lord, and make us submissive to You, and from our descendants a community submissive to You. And show us our rites, and accept our repentance. You are the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful. (2:128)
Our Lord, and raise up among them a messenger, of themselves, who will recite to them Your revelations, and teach them the Regulation/Decree (AL-KITAAB) and wisdom (HIKMATAN), and purify them. You are the Almighty, the Wise.” (2:129)
      >
THOSE WHO ARGUE WITH OR ABOUT ABRAHAM
O People of the Regulation/Decree/Scripture (AL-KITAAB)! Why do you argue (TUHAJJOO) about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Will you not reason? (3: 65)
Have you not considered him who argued (HAJJA) with Abraham about his Lord, because God had given him sovereignty? Abraham said, “My Lord is He who gives life and causes death.” He said, “I give life and cause death.” Abraham said, “God brings the sun from the East, so bring it from the West,” so the blasphemer was confounded. God does not guide the wrongdoing people. (2: 258)

Ponder over God's Word from the Quran, and together with Proof from Him
    It was divine inspiration. (53:4)
Made known by the Most Powerful. (53:5)
    * The Months of Hajj are the Four Sacred Months. They are July (Ramadhan) with 31 days, August with 31 days, September with 30 days and October with 31 days;
    = 7.0 0.31 8.0 0.31 9.0 0.30 10.0 0.31
You commit no error by seeking provisions from your Lord (through commerce). When you file from `Arafaat, you shall commemorate God at the Sacred Location (of Muzdalifah). You shall commemorate Him for guiding you; before this, you had gone astray. (2:198)
    * Coordinates for Mount Arafat = 21°21′17″N 39°59′02″E = 21°21′17″N(50) 39°59′02″E(10)

    * Coordinates for Mina, Saudi Arabia = 21°24′48″N 39°53′36″E = 21°24′48″N(50) 39°53′36″E(10)

God thus explains His revelations for you, that you may understand. (2:242)

    Salaamun alaikkum
Still idols carvings are in Petra.
Big deities are there. It is said that mohammad pbuh demolished all idols. If petra is masjidul haraam, how can be idol statues there which were destroyed at the time of mohmmad pbuh.Aidid safar says madjidul haram means consented degree. Some say forbidden mosque. Many quranic words were distorted. Dr kahif khan's translations are different from others.

@@salahudeenm.s.6775 The same Ahadeeth that tell you your prayer is broken if a woman, dog or donkey pass in front of you?? So your mother who carried you and suffered for 9 months, then fed you and stayed up all night when you were sick as a baby, this woman breaks your prayer. These same Ahadith? Bukhari and his like are the biggest enemies of the prophet. Not only making up lies about the prophet but about God as well. I believed as you did. I suggest you read the Quran knowing God is talking to you now as you are reading!
I'll leave you to ponder on Gods words :
These are God's revelations (Quran) that We recite to you with truth, so in which hadith other than God and His revelations (Quran) do they believe? 45:6
Or do you have some book in which you are studying? 68:37
So in which hadith after it (Quran) do they believe? 77:50
Shall I seek other than God as a lawmakerwhen it is He who has brought down to you the Book fully detailed? 6:114
I can reference a lot more but Allah is the guide.
Reject everything other than Allah and his book. Anything other than His book will lead you astray.
I'm just referring to your point about Ahadith.
Petra or not, do your own research. I am yet to come to any conclusion. But to the point Said made about Shirk, he is absolutely right about the Hajj and its rituals. You won't find any of it in the Quran. Why do you think that is?
I'm just suggesting that you read Gods words and ponder deeply. You'll have your answers to everything in sha Allah.
Be well and peace be with you.
