      I have another car now but when In the process of replacing my R18 s cracked oil pan i saw web cracking at the bottom end of the combustion chamber around the piston. Idk if this is where the engines crack, but either way it wasnt good.

    Awesome Job Cody! I am gonna JB weld my crack for now until I figure out what I am going to do for the long term. Hopefully it will hold during the winter months. Been running water in the radiator for a few months now.

    well done buddy,next time you can use a jack a lower the engine first to unbolt the crankshaft just do not remove driver side mount and lower a motor a litle bit so you have acces,because sometimes even realy strong impacts do not work,i tryed on same civic 2007 last time !050 psi from harbor frights it did not work,so i had to use a hoge bar with 3/4 drive and it come out

    Looking for info on a Honda 1.8L R18A/R18Z Engine conn rod & main bearing code.
    Anyone have idea where it would be stamped on the block or maybe on main bearing bridle?
    I have a 07 Civic DX & am dropping in a 2010 1.8L due the OEM Manufacturing problem of Poor Casting Issues on the 2006-08 & early 2009"s Civics with 1.8L in them, which leads to leaking Coolant.
    I wanting to do a bearing roll-in before I drop in the 2010 1.8L engine into my car.

    Did you have issues with your throwout bearing being to short? Normally the jdm engines are auto and need a larger bearing?

    • @codycarlson9441
      @codycarlson9441  Před 4 měsíci

      Mines auto so I wouldn’t know on that one. I would imagine the flywheel pressure plate would bolt right on tho

    Do you know if the jdm engine does not have the same issue with the coolant leak on the block?

    • @codycarlson9441

      JDM engines didn’t have defects in the casting process. Also all have 60k miles or less for most part
