      @rokstr222ify Před rokem +1

      Yeah, I'm sorry, but this guy is pretty far from knowledgeable, this is definitely one of the worst ways I've ever seen a turbo installed, mostly cuz so much is wrong, from the other comments it sounds like he ended up blowing up the engine from doing this, which doesn't surprise me one bit, thinking you can just throw a turbo on a stock block with stock internals is about as silly as thinking you can just add nitrous to a stock engine and think it'll be just fine, the proper way to do this would have been pulling the engine out and at the very least, doing something like stacking head gaskets to lower the compression ratio, and putting in aftermarket connecting rods, if not aftermarket pistons as well, because this engine is meant to be a relatively weak econobox designed to get you the best gas mileage, not power, it would have made so much more sense to start with an Si because at least that engine is meant to produce some power an not just get you as far as possible on a tank of gas, everyone thinks these R18s can be modded to make power because they have i-vtec , but the i-vtec system in this engine is nothing at all like the system in the k20a engine lol

    • @BulliKid
      @BulliKid  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the comment. Yes it was my first ever turbo budget build. I did bend a rod on cylinder 1 after 8k miles.
      You are right with what you said if you want to do a proper turbo build. Rods pistons. Professional tune. Again. This was my first turbo build. And I did what I could the best that I could have with what I had. No regrets. It was fun and I learned a lot. Only can learn from the process and keep going. 🙏💪✅

    Looking into adding a turbo to my 2008 for the heck of it. Think I'll look into an alternative method for the oil port. Maybe buy one with a port (if they exist) or remove it first. No hate but this is an economy engine, Had almost like reverse V-tec, Where valves open very little below 3500 and open like a normal SI above 3500. Also that block is not a heavy duty block meant to handle boost, Fun build tho, will hopefully give slightly more kick for a daily driver, Curious to what your numbers were probably around +30 - +40 HP. Cool build! Just a thought: why do you run the engine to let the filter take out eventual drill shavings from the oil? The oil including the shavings will go through your pump to! Wouldn't it have been easier to just remove the oil pan and do the drilling with the oil pan off the car?

      In a perfect world that’s what you want to do and that’s what I did the second time around with the turbo build. It was kind of a pain in the butt to take the oil pan out of this car. Therefore, I did it the way I did it.

    From what I see you drilled a hole towards the top of your oil pan where no oil is out. You should of drilled at the bottom side of the pan where oil sits at and that would submerge your oil line in oil at all times. I think you're gonna starve that turbo of oil with that line in the top of your oil pan. Oil will get up there maybe when you take a curve or sharp turns but on a straight away all the oil is at the BOTTOM of the pan. At least that's what it looks like to me in this video. I hope it turned out good for ya buddy.👍
