Naturally we are showing how to become a god with charisma as none other than Handsome Squidward the most charming being in the entire universe! Using his infinite charm we will discover that will let us conquer the entire world and of course generate infinite money and influence! I mean who doesnt like unlimited gold exploits especially when they are the result of incredibly charming individuals! So lets discover if M&B bannerlord is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits or if perhaps the spiffing brit is exploiting the game to create a literal god of infinite charisma build with this mount and blade exploit showing off some bannerlord gameplay with a money exploit!
What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. so, raid village and long war can make a nation go bankrupt
@Hayden Moore And mercenary parties (AI and player) are actualy paid from faction money. I dont know exact numbers behind this (as they are recruited by the king for kings money but king drains his faction money in several ways) but Spiff definitely destroyed Vlandia...
@@grammaton3773 yep when you're a lord in a faction you can see your mercenary expenses so he didn't only bankrupt the king but also every lord and perhaps cities too
I think the lords of each faction actually "pay" the mercenaries every cycle, so by cheesing them IM pretty sure you tanked their economy thats why they turned in to potatoes

This. Honestly would be a super cheesy way to weaken a kingdom so you could take over all their fiefs when you start your own kingdom. Of course it would be so easy you'd quit soonafter out of boredom.

@@FragBladePL i think it won't work because the last kingdom won't take you as mercenery when they are far more stronger than their enemy
This is also why the Vlandians are at war with everyone. The other nations see a rival with no money and thus no armies, so of course they are going to declare war on them.

There’s a rogue perk that makes all bandits offer to join you when you first meet, and maxed out medicine gives bonus health to all your troops. You can combine them to get a looter army that can go toe to toe with knights

You should absolutely continue this adventure. Additionally, is there some mechanic where Charm empowers soldiers? Some games have effects where your main character(s) offers so much moral they grant unit buffs. It would be great to see the bands roving around on your team being war deities in their own right while you have unlimited negotiating power. A true mastermind never has to dirty his own hands because his servants are so powerful
The Leadership skill is essentially charm but for your soldiers, so its a separate thing to level up
I would love to watch him stream this and conquer the entire world, I was actually kinda sad when he stopped playing

you might think what you have done is an exploit but in all actuality you have ruined Vlandia and it won't recover for at least a year of in-game time after your cease being a merc
Well, you have to admit he was an amazing mercenary, donating such an extraordinary number of prisoners, how could they not pay him with their entire nation's GDP for it?
You mean optimized Vlandian gameplay right?
So does that mean he could move on to another kingdom, charm their entire economy into his pocket, take over their castles because there is no one left to defend them, and then continue the cycle on every other kingdom eventually owning everything?
The best kind of exploit is one where someone actually gets exploited

She was loaded with battlefield equipment. It's like she wanted to be on the battlefield.
I mean if she gets married in chainmail and hauling a huge axe around, I assume she wants to chop off people’s heads in the chaos of battle.

He found this out from other people this is an old glitch… I actually was the first person to report to the devs and they then patched it but it’s still playable this way in the early stages of the beta.

Have you noticed how you have to pay a small sum of money when your faction hires mercs? I think what is happening to the vlandian ai is that spiff leeched all the money every single lord had and now they are struggling to recover their economy.

Spiff, I know the odds of you seeing this is very low but I wanted to tell you this anyway. I've been struggling with horrendous ptsd, depression and anxiety since I was jumped by three inmates at my max security prison I'm a sergeant at. I had 6 teeth broken or knocked out entirely, 3 discs in my back ruptured, my L5 vertebra was shifted 12 millimeters during the fracas and I was kicked in the head hard enough that I've only got 50% hearing in my left ear and the doctors suspect I also suffered brain damage. I managed to fight my way back to my feet and get out of the building. Your content along with a couple of other youtubers has helped me during my darkest times. The damage to my back has rendered me unable to workout or do any of my usual stress relief methods. I'm being literal when I say their have been times when your absolutely hilarious content, mainly your civ 6 and total war videos, have kept me from putting Smith and wessons finest to my head and stopping my pain forever. my family has been supportive but your videos have calmed me during anxiety and rage episodes on multiple occasions. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for producing the content that has again literally stopped me from ending my pain permanently. Please keep up your wonderful work. My war isn't over yet as I'm scheduled for surgery in a couple of months to fuse three vertebrae and put implants in for my ruined teeth. I just felt that you needed to know that your work has truly made a difference, at least in my life. Please keep it up. Thank you. What you do has seriously impacted my life for the better. Sorry for the word wall.

Really happy to see you play this game more. I've been having g a blast playing it since the last update
This is absolutely amazing. It's only day 83 ingame and I've already wrecked Vlandia's economy and am halfway done wrecking Battania. Poor old King Derthert literally had 0 denars to trade and all the Vlandian lords are running around with squads of 10-20 men. They raised an "Army" but could only field 64 men hahaha. My plan is to cycle through the nations one by one until all are in ruin and I have literally all the money in Calradia.
EDIT: I repeated the process with Battania, Sturgia and the Western Empire. All 3 nations were absolutely wrecked and losing territory like crazy. Had to stop when they patched the game.
It gets btw pretty funny when you simply start executing every single lord you find on the map thats not of your faction.
And if you ever wondered what happens when you kill every single noble of a kingdom: The entire lands of that kingdom gets gifted to one random faction. It can be your kingdom, it can be a kingdom you are in war with, it can be the bloody rebels of Epicrotea with their 2 nobles who are now suddenly in posession of 5 cities, 4 castles and have no men whatsoever to defend them.
The only problem is that with basically no lords left on the map bandits start running rampage and everything is full of them whereever you go...

@N Fels Yup, nothing more annoying than destroying a 900 man Army, just for them to return a couple of days later, I started executing every enemy Lord for the same reason.
Not great for stability, amazing for conquering enemies though xD

A small thing with sieges, you can actually have trebuchets fall back after you build them, causing them to disappear and go into a storage. They’ll take 1 or 2 hits, but you can do this for every trebuchet. After the last one is complete you can put them all on the field at once, and easily knock down walls and defenses
Just like real life, Charisma is the most important stat in any game it's featured in.
You didn't play a luck spam character in Morrowind did you?

Yes and No. Its good QoL in most games, and oft has plenty of exploits, but, despite Fallout New Vegas' glories it got right, it kinda gave the wrong impression on how speech/charisma mechanics should be used. (Hint: the Legate shouldn't have been able to have been talked down, it breaks the character entirely)
Frankly. In all of the M&B games Charisma skills haven't been....the greatest. I have never really invested in upping them personally, nor intentionally made a character based on charisma, since you cant really....win a war by talking your opponent down, but an arrow to the eye works great by comparison!
I came back to this game about a month or two ago and I went for the charm build and it turns out there's an exploit to make max level charm EVEN EASIER. Thank you Spiff, you have blessed us

Personally, I love how you can just ruin the entire game by purchasing all of the food and hoarding it away, resulting in every party starving to death, reducing the lords to just a bunch of 1-man parties running around being kidnapped by forest bandits and looters.
How, exactly, do you manage that?
It's not a question of price- the issue is that food gets manufactured pretty much every couple days, and with travel time, there isn't really a way to buy *all* the food. Maybe in a local region, but not everywhere.

@@dylanb2990 It works in the sense that you can buy all the food in a city, declare war, and immediately besiege them and watch how they starve in 5 days, 10 days.... just try it

Tip: when doing siege. As soon as a machine is completed put it into reserve. Redeploy them when you have enough in reserve. That way they aren't constantly outnumbered as you build them.

I finally noticed that when I was playing vanilla. It's so useful cause I raised fodor to be super intelligent with full siege and steward stats for that extra 20% to build speed and my lord those wallas never had a chance!
I usually didn't bother with siege at all, gathered everyone and went through the front door - least amount of undesirable AI behavior.

Funny enough cav actually does better charging up hill instead of down. Has to do with it being easier for them to score hits with the lance going up and going down they tend to aim too high.

I guess doing the charisma thing as a mercenary drained the entire economy of every lord in vlandia, that 2.8mil a day they actually had to pay that. So once you joined they couldnt afford any troops.

That "Why is my AI Faction so useless" is something I think all of us can relate to. So many times, they take the town you just took over singlehandedly, give it to some random guy, and you come back two minutes later and the thing's been taken again.
Spiff I recently started watching your channel and I love it. I have bought the Yorkshire Tea and the mugs cause when you watch spiff it needs to be in a splendid fashion. The video was amazing perfectly balanced.

This is very accurate. Everyone fell in love with squidward on sight. But when will this transition to temple run like game, where you run from you adoring fans?
A tip about sieges....build trebuchet in each of the front line spots and as the first is built, pause the game, click on it, and move it to reserve. Repeat this with all four of them, and then you can place them all out at once so you do not have them destroyed one at a time while the next is being built.

Tip for the sieges when building trebuchets once 1 is completed Move it to reserve that way it does not get destroyed and once you have done that on all slots move them all to the front line and decimate their balistas and walls :)

The ai was unable to build armys because they had no money to pay for them. The whole realm pays a % of the mercenary payment. So the whole realm was bankrupted by the birt.

well, you can do what spiff did and simply drain their money, and max out friendships, but I don't think you can guarantee a surrender, unless you have overwhelming armies or stuff

Feel like such a Heathen watching Spiff videos whilst enjoying a nice cup of coffee, I do enjoy tea too, from time to time though.
I wonder if I will see myself in the patreon-list in the next vid. A perfect exploit to see how fast Spiff pumps out videos and how long it takes to edit them, it's absolutely balanced.
I'd love to see you continue this story, if only to see how cheaply you can buy out the rest of the noble factions. It's incredibly frustrating to be given a dowry of millions of gold, and seeing that you could get away with just around 200 made me wonder how cheaply you could buy the other lords off with this build.
He should be an game tester with all the exploits he finds.

when building trebuchets, it's better to pause game and put them on reserve then keep building new ones until you get four.. then deploy all of them at the same time.
it's also better if you build the siege towers before the trebuchets, so when your 4 trebuchets annihilate all enemy siege weapons, you can instantly launch assault before they can rebuild defenses.
