It’s so hard to hold back criticism when you know how to do something well and you’re teaching someone new. You do a great job, balancing the constructive criticism and positive feedback. That’s hard! Also it shows that even if the initial end result isn’t wonderful, filing helps a lot, and every time you’ll learn something. That’s what it’s all about eh?

I just appreciate how you two interact. You’re teaching him something that is difficult and you are totally kind and patient. He is humble and patient too! I feel like you two RESPECT each other and that is what I see missing in many marriages.
I really have to applaud cameraman being so brave! You could tell he was so far outside of his comfortzone and what he is used to. It takes trust to go there in front of an expert and an audience.

This is too funny! You're just like me. No matter how much we want to let them do everything we just can't help but grab the brush,etc and show them to do it this way! It's hysterical! He's seems petrified. But he does a great job!!
To be fair, lots of us are visual learners and having someone teaching a technical skill SHOW you right then and there is very helpful.
When I'm teaching, I usually just preface it with, "may I show you?" But these two cuties have been married for a long time so she knows she isn't going to hurt his feelings by being more quick and direct 😌

It took me about 3 years to get the cuticle smooth. Now I have been doing nails for over 40 years ! I do so little filing now. I love doing nails... even if I am retired 💞

I just wanted to reach through the screen and grab the file/brush/efile from him so many times! You did so well refraining from doing that. Your patience and praising were wonderful to observe. He takes direction pretty well (mostly lol). I really enjoyed this one. He's such a good sport and a pretty decent student!

Thank you for doing this cameraman! It makes me feel less alone, and more excited to try just to try! I would love to see more step by step beginner videos with cameraman trying different techniques. Maybe like using the easy gel with the full cover tips!

I love Suzie's teaching style, it's encouraging and very instructive. I really like the way she didn't just take over but helped out with little demonstrations. Cameraman did an awesome job for his first nail! It wasn't as lumpy after finishing as my first nail was. He even controlled the e-file wonderfully too.
He did amazing! Also, this is an exercise in self-control for me. I wanted so badly to jump in and fix it! Haha. TYFS.

This reminded me of when me and my mom learned pottery together. We were working on a wheel and it took a lot of strength. It actually pushed me to exercise so the next time hopefully I won’t struggle so much. It was such a fun time! Thank you for reminding me of this!

Thank you for creating your channel and facilitating so many to learn from your expertise! You have inspired my curiosity and sparked a passion I did not know I had related to at home nails. I originally subscribed to your channel to learn how to mani/pedi myself because my nail growth pushes me to mani/pedi every two weeks or so and that is not budget friendly for me. Watching your videos has certainly piqued my curiosity about all of the other mediums of nail art and so on. I appreciate your videos but also wanted to give you a shout out to the set designs and thank you for all of the thought you put into your videos with the soothing color schemes, soft music and the tone you carry in your voice! I absolutely loved this video!! It was so funny. You both cracked me up! And just when I was thinking wow, Cameraman's actually managed to do it, which I never believed he would, given how he applied the product and all the stabbing 😂 The shaped nail was actually rather impressive. And then came the polish!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 I literally spat out my tea. I've never seen such a mess 😆But it just goes to show what a wonderfully kind and patient teacher you are!! His 2nd attempt was a big improvement. You have such a lovely and mutually respectful relationship, it's a joy to see.

Thanks so much for this video because it shows the learning process. I got so frustrated that it would take me so long to do my nails and they were looking so crazy, meanwhile the videos I watched were just 10 minutes! I know know that it takes much longer when you are learning, even though hybrid gel is “easier” to work with than acrylic. Everything has a learning curve!
