Yes It is… but it was a friendly match maybe that's why is not into this World Cups list … Here's the link of the match of Bramco's freekick czcams.com/video/O1H_vypT8Lo/video.html
I'm a Chilean and I do believe that Cubillas's should be at least the third. His technique was just out of this world. A marvelous piece of art along with Ronaldinho's
How he invented the Trivela in 1978 when you see in this video Garrinha in 1966, at 02:07, using a trivela kick? Anyway, it was a amazing skill demonstred by Teófilo.
Didi (Genius, Brazilian player, won WCin 58) the Man who invented Folha Seca, was the coach of Peru in the 70WC, he probably taught Cubillas trivela and some tricks
Now look at that by Cubillas! I mean we are used to everyone doing some sort of "Beckham", but Cubillas that was special.. From the left side, with the right and slightly outside of the foot into the net. Original.
There is atleast two more free kicks from USA 94 which deserves to be in top 5 here - Branco's goal VS Holland and Stoichkov's goal against defending champions Germany!
100% correct, on both accounts. Multiple free kicks on this list are vastly inferior to branco’s and stoichkov’s. One was from 35 meters and the other froze a World Cup winning goalkeeper in place.
My favourite is Revelino's ....so simple but beautifully executed. This would not be possible now as opposition players are no longer allowed in a wall.
I'm gonna make this point, whenever I feel necessary, for a accurate prospective! ..Rivelinos,Garincha,Dirceu,Zico,Ghengini the French player the Peruvian star Cubilas ( and some others) 'Freekicks' were achieved with the Hard Leather Ball( which was being used up until the early 1990's) After the late 90's, u started to see that light plastic Ball being used far more frequently! ..So anyone who has played and used both, knows full well that the lighter Ball flys all over the place &allows all kinds of Players to strike it from long distances, curl and bend it in all directions, when the 'old Leather ball' only allowed those with a special skill set to achieve these feats!!..Think about it!
Also David Platt‘s goal for England vs Belgium from 1990 should be there. It was so exquisitly executed that one journalist wrote that the Belgian defense hadn‘t even made a mistake. But I guess this video only festures direct free kick goals.

Stojkovic didn't play for Croatia. He played for Yugoslavia (Croatia was a part of Yugoslavia, but Stojkovic is from Serbia which also was a part of Yugoslavia). Nevertheless, that was one great free kick by Stojkovic.
@@riccardoalcaro8483 But didn't Eder's shot cross the goal line? And the author of the goal was nevertheless considered Zico, who actually finished the ball after it came back from behind the goal line? By the way, several goals from the list in the video should not be allowed either. In my opinion, only direct free kicks should count, but here several balls have been played and touched by another player before.
There is one missing: one by Carlos against France in 1997. It was a LONG range free kick and he kicked the ball with an outside foot curving it in. Fabien Bartez didn't know what just happened.
Dude, a lot of beautiful goals, but you forgot 2 of the most importants. Both in top 3 in my opinion: #3 Brehme Germany vs England 1990 #2 Ronaldinho Brazil vs England 2002 #1 Branco - Brazil vs Nethelands 1994
How is no one talking about him forgeting about roberto carlos' insane free kick against france. In my opinion that is the numnber 1 best free kick in the world
No.7 Cubillas goal should be no.1. Probably because the video quality is poor. Have you ever seen a free kick like that? Incredible precision, power, technique.
Ronaldinho was a tremendous player and I always liked him a lot, but in that free kick he clearly wanted to make a taut cross into the box to find some deflection by a teammate, but he hit the ball wrongly, which ended up in the goal. You can really tell by the posture of his body and head. I remember that 2002 World Cup was played with the new (outrageous!) Fevernova Adidas ball that was very light and caused a lot of controversy because it took absurd trajectories...
You should have added Ilie Dumitrescu’s goal in Romania agains Argentia in 1994. It is way better then many of the goals here. But because he is romanian he was left in the shade.
I was expecting Roberto Carlos banana kick against France in 1997..but it is not even in the top 20...All my life, i thought it was during a world cup..😅🤦♂️😂
Some heavy Brazil bias here. Very nice all of them but there are some here that are missing. Micheal Ballack rocket from 2002. Roberto Carlos other one missing here. Branco.

the Cubillas's outside the foot you don't see often even back when football was real, I can accept R10 is #1 but 7th place for that cheeky beauty
If I remember correctly, the goal from Sanchez's free kick against the great black spider Yashin
Love the reaction from Pele to the Garrincha free kick. Joyous
Kroos vs. Sweeden. Saved their ass for a day ...
That Rivelino goal should've been Top 10 at least
Poor video
I completely agree. He got the ball through a 2 foot gap.
Exactly
It should be one of the best three.
4:47 Teófilo Cubillas , the man who invented the Trivela shot then mastered by Quaresma , one of the rarest technic in football

Peru goal was the best. You have never seen a free kick like that since.
The free kick for Peru v Scotland has to be the best, was the most skilful with the outside of the boot 💯🏴👍
Insane drop at the end of Ronaldinho's free kick. No.1 for a reason!

Branco against Netherlands 1994 should be here.
Was a good goal and decide the match
The "foul" before this free kick wasn't existing, Rinaldino was laughing and crying, so Branco's goal was rotten.
Garrincha and Zico are so underrated. But anyways awesome video! Such a good idea!!!
Ugly Turtle they are not underrated people who know football garrincha and zico are one of the best players in history
Espeically when you look at Zico's history of free kicks he was able to do exactly the same thing over and over again.
For me Garrincha is one the greatest
Seriously dude…quit with the “so underrated” BS…only kids who never heard of them say that. They were not underrated.
Both Zico and Garrincha are Top 15 All Time Players in History. Real football fans as a sport knows that fact.

Tomas Brolin goal against Romania in World Cup 1994 (USA-94) was one of the most inovative freekicks in history. It should be mentioned in your list.

Stoichkov’s against Germany in the same ‘94 World Cup as well. Froze a World Cup winning goalkeeper.
