when i played on beta there was split, haven, bind only. ascent was introduced with reyna i think, first map first agent
i love how you ask for the decision points for example in regards of smoke placements.
usually the reason why you wanna do something also explains how to do it, so it solves a lot of open questions.

I swear 99% of the games I play on ascent team likes to alternate A & B every round and very rarely do my team rotate unless I suggest to rotate. Just last game I was like "y'all can go A, Omen is B".. 3v1 they all died to Omen on B :/ but the crazy part is they all died One by one when they were all together.
Also something to note, somehow our senti ends up being first on site a lot of the time and we tend to have a duelist lurking on atk
Unless you got a zbucky on defense side B near lanes. It’s game over especially with breach

You guys need to make a Guide for Icebox aswell, I really can't wrap my head over that map, I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that it's meant to be played like jail valorant.
The new Woohoojin icebox guide video is pretty good, I would give it a watch
attack:4 man rush a site while viper lurks mid, maybe viper calls you to rotate if her lurk is good enough, pray you can plant bomb and then play off site and stall
defense: your viper counter lurks their viper mid, use all your util to deny plant, pray they don’t know how to play post plant

What I think its most dificult when I try to default is that by the time I'm ready to hit the site after conquering the small areas, all the defenders already rotated, I really don't know what to do.. Feels like I'm baiting my team to hit a stack. What can I do to avoid this?
Fakes/double back/pressure. For instance, you take mid, your b player gets a kill, it should only be one left on B. If you can prevent the enemy team from crossing spawn by holding it, you can just group main and go. Alternatively, the issue you run into, you kill a guy cat, your guy in main makes noise, smoke off garden from tree, maybe throw some piece of util heaven or some info utility, but while this is happening you guys are walked up mid without taking contact/working B main. One of those B players is going to get info somehow. Either he pushes main, or runs spawn. The moment he isn't where he wants to be position wise, I'd hit the site.
Example:
I'm a cringe loser fk that lurks all the time. I play kj mainly, say we are 1:3:1 with me being the B player. I'll have the mid turret up, my team will fight over mid, maybe we kill the cat player (or maybe not), very shortly there after I'll recall my turret and kinda vibe up B main. Once that garden smoke hits, and any of our flashes pop on the A side of the map, chances are the site player is bunnyhopping up stairs to go spawn (or I've already fought him). As soon as that frag happens I get space towards spawn so I know how long we have to get into site. Maybe I hear 2 in spawn coming B, if I have 3 teammates in mid right now, I might honestly just call an A hit and try to get my 1v1. (If they are on low buy then I'd prefer to leave through mid->cat with my teammates).
People will learn and adapt to you, your enemies aren't significantly worse than you, if you would do it, so would they (probably). Just find some response that makes sense, and exploit that. Dart lands, flash pops, Reyna eye, all on B, what do you think enemy is doing? Knife out rotating would be my guess :P
Another good example is midlurk on haven. If you can get up front B and vibe, you can HEAR the rotations so you'll know how many are where. Send 3 a, they get resistance, you kill the guy rotating through B, and all of a sudden it's a race for you to be C link, preventing enemy rotations, or at the very least, knowing about them!
(Sorry for wall of text, I hope it helped or gave you something to think about :^< )
Just think, what would I do in their situation? And think of some way to counteract their response. Kayo gonna pop flash out of a smoke and you can feel it in your nads? Deadlock ult or nade it 😂 even without knowing they are there. If you feel it, it's your subconscious saying something.
Edit: baiting team would be doing nothing, if you are working map control and your 3 teammates die to a util combo, that's not on you, that's on them (unless you knew they had a trap play). You are only %20 of the team, you can only do so much ❤
