Imo THE comp is the Harbor Viper, Harbor can fill Sage’s role on B plant, allows you to cycle wall util on A, allows your Viper to dedicate smokes and util on A, gives you strong retake util for A and B
I hate this map so much :( but loving this series so I'll watch this lol

One thing about Icebox Defaulting isn't so much of a thing. Because as a Defender if you so choose to peak and want to fight it's highly likely you will fight.
As a attacker on this map it's more dismantling that and using utility to push them farther back like a sova drone a viper orb so they can't see you mid walking for example.
Now Gecko being stronger does offer defaulting especially B to be a thing be able to Dizzy to clear for anyone and wingman.
Now on A unless someone playing a hop up angle you don't gain as much if someone is blinded, from peaking deep they can just fall back down or re-peak.
The biggest reason why Icebox is unfun to play and so called a bad map. Sentinels don't actually exist? Ironically Deadlock is the only senti that can truly lock down a sit the rest of them struggle majorly. KJ mostly slows people down on this map it's to get a kill or a ton of damage from mollies. Cypher has to play incredibly close if he wants any kills and has to give one trip mid or even his camera and lacks versatile spots for his trips on this map.
Deadlock can plug up Rope start of B space or anywhere can stop rushes with net. And has stun if they commit to pushing. But she doesn't solve the raging mid lurking issue and her attack is quite bad especially if she can't get the bomb down. But her post plant is top tier.

I've found that harbor is a really good replacement for viper on icebox especially play for a. Curving the wall you can wall off nest and pairing with sages wall cove makes things insane.

I was watching someone else video on Icebox
For This map You can sub out Jett for Neon but that forces you to go Chamber instead of KJ if you so choose to still have a operator but there is many teams that don't have it
But it's Mainly
Jett Gecko/Harbor or Sage. It's said you need 1 character that makes planting easier because it's easy to deny plants on this map or someone may die trying.
Because of recent play Deadlock Can replace Sage but that forces you to go Gecko for your intiator slot but you also have to go double senti
Viper is a 100% always pick
KJ should be a 100% always pick
Sova is too strong on this map but Gecko can do his job a little bit?
So a finished Comp can be
Jet, Yoru kind of underrated I would run double duelist if you go him or Chamber, Neon Yoru is very underrated but I do suggest running a sova if you decide to go him.
Viper 100% always
KJ/Chamber. If you go Deadlock you must run another Senti
