  • How do I know if God is calling me?
When we talk about spiritual calling, it can sound very mysterious. How does it play out in real life? In the Bible, we see how people were called by God. When God asked Moses to go to Pharoah and demand freedom for His people, Moses protested that he wasn’t a confident speaker. When God called Jonah to go to Ninevah, he ran the opposite direction.
What about us? How do we respond when God’s call. And how do we identify God’s call from other voices in our lives? Listen in as devotional author Kelli Worrall and managing editor Jamie Janosz talk about how God calls people today, and how we can better discern His voice.

Sometimes that Still Small Voice won't let me forget what He is saying, despite my short memory. He keeps gently urging and reminding me until I do what He says. Then I have peace. Other times I think I am hearing from God, but the words soon escape my memory. Then, too, I have peace, knowing it was not His idea, probably mine, and it was not something that would have good results. I thank God for the way He uses my short memory!

I so very much enjoy these videos with the devotional writers. It makes the studies even more personal and personable. The study on "calling" has opened some really interesting thoughts about calling. Thank you so much.
Also, one thing that I have found that makes the devotional even more personal, as I read the Prayer I exchange the "we", "us", to "me" and "I" to pray it personally to my Lord. It really places a conviction or challenge to my heart to make it personal and really think of what I am praying.
Thank you again, and blessings to all in the production of Today in the Word!
