    I installed lq9, 799 heads, .600" lift cam, th400 in my 69 firebird and used the FiTech 70050, easy to navigate and set up, good quality, only thing it does not show the harness has two wires for dual fans, those are negative wires that go to relays and turn on fans , mines are set at 195-on, 185 off.

      Recently I wired up dual electric fans with the ecu trigger. I only use the fan 1 wire and it works as it should. Thanks for watching!

    Ok thanks. I was able to get it started without those 2 sensors but it wont run long

    Looks like you may need (want) to calibrate the MAP sensor. It's reading high, unless you're below sea level. Otherwise, looks great! Thanks for doing the walk through setup and run. Sounds good too. Thumbs up.

      SethRocksYou Thanks for the pointer. Not quite sure how to do a calibration yet, but I've got a few months to figure it out. (Truck stored)

      Frank Hernandez can't say how it compares to other systems directly. It did not come with software like a Holley system would, but at a third the price I couldn't pass it up. So far I've only input the most basic parameters with good results.

      Dustin Apple Not yet. Speedo needs an adapter. Tach I'm not sure what would work best, but I'm guessing there is also an adapter that could work. Been running great though. Daily drive it when the weather allows. Driving it right now in fact.

    Nice rig! What radiator and fan setup did you use?...very clean. Also, any reason you chose not to use the FiTech intake vice the truck intake? Im working a similar project and would like your opinion/experience.

      @jdcarguy1242  Před 6 lety

      JD Thomas Thanks for the comment! Fan is stock from any ls truck. Radiator is a Griffin I bougt second hand. I plan on replacing the stock fan with a set of shrouded Spal fans controlled by the fitech unit.

      I had only saw a portion of your post. The truck intake and injectors will typically come with a junkyard motor. This motor came drive by wire. I bought a stock cable TB for under $50. The stock truck intake is shown to make more power under 5500rpms than almost all aftermarket units. I didn't need a low profile intake for clearance either. This stock motor makes much better power than my previous AFR head/270h cam 355 engine.

    how you like the efi harness ? im thinking about putting this kit in my ls3 procharged 78 camaro , i had a stand alone harness that lost spark for 3 month swapping coils , ecu , took harness out twice to check for cuts an still its not running .. now im looking to bite the bullet .. what you think?

    • @jdcarguy1242
      @jdcarguy1242  Před 6 lety

      I can't give any sort of long term update as the truck is in storage. Initial impressions are that it's decent quality. Some of the wiring is lighter gauge than I'd like. The length is a bit limiting, but it works for my needs. Thanks for the question!

    • @jdcarguy1242

      For 70050, yes. 70051 has the harness for 4l60e/4l80e hook up.
      I already owned the usshift controller and liked it. More content to come in the next couple months.

      AEE automotiveengineeringenthusiast awesome thank you for the response. I bought the 70051 and have it all connected ready to fire soon, going through the controller I’m not seeing all the options like your video has listed. Thinking maybe I have a faulty ground or something. Anyway thank you

      AEE automotiveengineeringenthusiast I just think something wrong because I don’t have all the options on my screen like yours. Doesn’t show anything about the crank sensor, auto or manual trans, nothing. Think maybe they sent me a wrong controller.
