Southern Raised, a group of award winning kinfolk, trained in classical music but raised in the bluegrass soaked Ozark Mountains. They have created a Southern Raised trademark sound where classical meets bluegrass and city streets meets country roads. SR has morphed a progressive sound that spans Christian Country/ Bluegrass, Celtic and Classical. They’re talented, they’re energetic, they’re Southern Raised.

I'm 80 years old and these young folks are my favorite ever musical group. There doesn't seem to be anything they can't do.
@Emily Canone What IS your damned problem, lady? I chose that to express my feeling that after 80 years exposure to every type of music and musical groups out there, Southern raised has settled in as my number one choice of all of them. It doesn't require your damned psychoanalysis and political ageist garbage.
This is my first time hearing them and I have to say that they are very, very good. I’ll be checking out more of this stuff and look forward to being surprised.

Have you heard this played by Danish Philharmonic Orchestra? This is very good,but theirs is brilliant.
@@desmondfarrell7249 Your tip made me listen and yes they sound amazing but i like this version better. The orchestra has a lot of instruments and choirs to make it sound beautiful. @Southern Raised are only 4 but you can clearly see they enjoy themselfs. i don't see that in the other version. They sound great but don't seem to enjoy what they sing/play
Love the Trilogy of movies Good, Bad, Ugly. Fist full of Dollars & A few dollars more. Was in high school working as a projectionist. Back when you could go to the movies and not have all the smut and nudity. Thank you for bringing back some great memories.
I’m younger but honestly can’t stand all the gratuitous violence and sex. It’s just lazy story telling in my opinion.
It’s obvious the directors are going for some “shock effect” half the time and frankly we aren’t shocked anymore. It’s just lame.

Dang, I loved this as much as the original, or rather the Danish National Orchestra version, which is stunning, but that's an army of musicians.
i didn't know the danish orchestra did the original. there version on YT is pretty sweet, as is the UK uke-orchestra's. this is right up there with those, no question.
@@tracyavent-costanza346 I sorta doubt The Danish orchestra did the original, it was a movie tune after all. I suspect it was some movie studio orchestra either in Italy or America or maybe the UK where the movie was finally put together. Sadly, since this was in the 1960's, the Movie studio version may not exist in a very high quality version. Maybe some big reel to reel tapes in some basement where they did the final mix, before adding it to the movie. I think they did it near the end of a movie's production, as the movie was played for the orchestra in the final cuts in some cases so they could add their own emotion to the movie.

either way, now that original mixes are digital, the quality is likely to last a lot longer so I don't have to go back and watch the flick anyhow.
as I recall it was kind of so-so as a story, the theme song got an oscar or something.
It's hard to believe that only four highly skilled musicians could do this old west masterpiece so well. Remarkably good. Totally impressive!❤

For those here who are not familiar with the Music Score or Film, The Good, BAd and Ugly "Theme" actually consists of (2) musical pieces, the first being "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and the second score "The Ecstasy of Gold" which is the final part of the film with "There are those who have the gun, and there are those who dig. Tuco, you dig." For this group, very nice transition into The Ecstacy of Gold. Ennio Morcconi would be proud of your new rendition of his work. Nice job!

Well SR, the wait was definitely worth it. Y’all performed that song perfectly. There’s nothing quite like the sound of a good acoustic group. Let me apologize now however, I just found y’all channel a couple of days ago and I’ve been through almost every song already. Wish I would’ve found y’all sooner.
