Cow Elk at 4 yards with a bow!

An archery over-the-counter Colorado elk hunt can be very challenging with all the pressure from other hunters. Elliott Lloyd harvested a cow on the last day at last light. This was the perfect way to end a long week of hunting the mountains. After a long night, we got it cleaned and hauled off the mountain with a few hours to spare before leaving to catch an airplane. The Mountains can demoralize you, but we hunted to the last minute and got it done. Elliott Lloyd made a walking shot on the lead cow at only 4 yards. She had no clue we were waiting for her behind a boulder at the bottom of the trail.
