In today’s video I will be showing you how to get the most out of the online multiplayer mode in MSFS, and flying with friends in no time at all. The intention of this video is to present my guide and to share my own tips and tricks, which I use to meet up with friends in the virtual skies. Sometimes things can go wrong but I have managed to use workarounds which often solves some issues.
Whether you are new to online multiplayer or have already used it, there are quite a lot of options and hopefully by watching this video you will be able to set your own sim up for the best online flying experience possible. Great info Chris! I’ve never done Multiplayer in FS, but you make it look great! I took the plunge and upgraded to a 12th gen i9 12900, new mb etc…With that and W11, its a whole new ballgame with G2. No more jaggies and judders! Can fly in NYC getting 32-46fps. I’m so thrilled by the incredible improvements all around 👍

Fun fact, If you use “ALL PLAYERS” and select live weather, the weather stays still. I always flew on ALL PLAYERS but just found out if you click LIVE PLAYERS, the weather actually moves. You can visibly see clouds moving in real weather. It makes for great realistic flights.

Good video -- except, Chris, your mic has a dominant bass response. If you don't have an EQ to compensate, you could talk a bit louder I suppose but as it is now, the audio's high-frequency spectrum in the voice range is absent. Take a look at it on a waveform analyzer or LED frequency meter. Your good videos would be more intelligible - the whole point I suppose. Thanks and fly safe.
Chris, very helpful. I have an operational mic (via Xbox S series controller). I assumed once I spawned into a flight, other mbrs would be able to hear me. That doesn't be the case...do I need to download something or should this set up work? Thanks much for any assistance you can provide...I'm newbee to the sim world. Cheers, John

Always have problems trying to find my one friend. We are friends on xbox app and the pc sim itself. For some reason, we only see each other intermittently or sometimes only for part of the flight.

In Microsoft flight simulator you can’t see the plane another person is in if you don’t have it, is there a way to see their plane without having it?
So if you choose live traffic then does that mean you can hear them talking in the game or do you need to add them in order to chat with them? How do you exit to the main menu after your in open world?
My friend was in a DC-3 Douglas but he appears as a different plane, is this normal?
Question: since VC isn’t available in game, do you know any good external sights, such as discord servers, where people can chat and specifically who RP communications professionally?

I have a question, when I play with my friend in multiplayer I normally use a 787 and he uses some other plane, were on Xbox and I have premium deluxe and he doesn’t, and when we meet up with each other we don’t see the correct plane that we’re using. Ex: I’m in a 787 but he sees an A380 or he’s in a Cessna and I see a cub. Do you know why this is?

Why do other players appear as passenger planes?? Can someone help?
I m on xbox series x and in multiplayer i use nametags, every people have different aircrafts but I can see only one aircraft (NPC aircraft). Exemple i see a player using an f/18 but I view it like an a civilian aircraft
Yah same here. That’s the only thing that sucks about Xbox. It is very limited in capabilities only showing us NPC aircrafts. It also crashes to Home Screen on Xbox all the time. I wish we could talk to each other over live ATC and I wish you could join other peoples planes like in Flight X.

Just want to point out I couldn’t get Live Player enabled until I unchecked every privacy option for my Xbox Live account.
@@PIEINTHESKYTOURS Not at all! It was frustrating cause Live Player was grayed out. Thought it was a bug til I finally found a forum post somewhere telling me I need to uncheck various privacy settings in my Xbox Live account. Wish I could tell you which specific ones but after trying a couple I got frustrated and unchecked ‘em all and it worked 🤣

I didn’t even know you could fly with other players. I always thought it was just AI planes flying around. Also, today I noticed that I can’t hear ATC in flight? Anyone know why? I’m new to all of this, so maybe I did something wrong lol

Anyone here want to be friends playing flight simulator? I think I could make new friends with this game. Although my communication isn't the best but I do what I can. Currently I'm in the process of saving up for an RTX 3090 for better graphics and better computer in general before I go multiplayer. This might take a few months. The plane that I fly is the airbus a320 neo but I am still working on with my landing but I have gotten better since I first started. My goal of this game is realism.😎
The best time I can play would be on Saturday afternoons/evening or maybe during the week if I'm up in the day time/morning eastern time. I'm on PC.
