Crazy I didn't hear Mrs. Shagg cry not one time What a trooper✌🏻
Oh yeah. She was riding great!
Mrs shagg cranking on that sled that’s aWSome !!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Yup. She's doing really good this season.
Always great to have the heated visor or googles when required. ☃️👍👍
Definitely! Thanks for watching!
Great video! Video quality was amazing.
Thanks! Glad you think so! Thanks for watching John.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Great video, as always. Thanks for posting!
Thank You and thanks for watching Baydog!
How nice of you guys to make a Mrs. Shag sandwich!!! Shag in front, you in the rear,... Just picking! Great job as usual!
Lol. Just trying to keep her safe since she is less experienced. Thanks for watching Nathan!
Looks like Mrs Shag is moving right along in her new sled.
Yes she is. I commented on that in the video but it was hard to hear because the mic was crackling since we were going a bit faster. Hopefully I'll have that fixed soon.
I’m liking the new camera angles love the video
Thanks Mark! Glad you like it. 👍
👍 looks like you guys had fun.. awesome video.. been years since I’ve been up riding there.. stay safe buddy. Happy riding
Thanks Brian! We did and will do!
Looks fun ,thanks for great snowmobile content
It was a great time! Glad you enjoyed the video Jason.
Hey Paiste, Love the new camera angles from the new Insta360 X3. Plus the in helmet audio makes the videos better.. Keep up the great work buddy. 👍🏼 Take Care and THINK SNOW ❄❄
Thanks Buddy! Trying to keep things fresh. Glad you liked it. ❄❄❄
Looks great you have some great snowmobile friends . Would the high windshield take care of this snow problem on days like this
Yeah. I'm fortunate to have such great friends (brothers) to ride with!
I don't think a high windshield would have made much difference that day but I guess I really can say for sure without having one and trying it out. It was just coming down really good for a minute there and just makes it hard to see even without it sticking to the helmet shield.
Thanks for watching Dave.
CKX Mission helmet is the best trail helmet I have used. I have not even used the heated visor and I dont ride with a baclava either. Im in north Idaho and the snow has been great this year.
I've heard great things about that helmet. I just didn't want any mask or anything over my nose and mouth anymore and that's why I went with the Oxygen helmet. Thanks for watching Steve.
great video.time for some heated shields for those guys
Thanks Nate.
Lol. Yeah. Good idea but probably won't happen. This usually only happens once a season.
LOVE that new camera footage! Keep up the great work. Supposed to be there as of the 22nd, may have to postpone, the weather looks just God awful!
Thanks drbobvs!
Yeah. This season has been a weird one and literally could be over already in my area. Our local trail system hasn't opened at all and most likely won't this season.
Hopefully the weather turns around for you by the 22nd.
Hey Paisteboy, if you don’t want to wear glasses when you ride, try wearing one contact lens only. You can see far and up close, sounds weird but it works! Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I tried wearing contacts 20 years ago and couldn't get used to them. I'm considering lasik. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for replying back so soon. What did you do with your old modular three? That is the helmet that I used to love to ride with. Nobody should ride without a heated visor because it's so dangerous. Yes I remember back in the day but today is so much different. Just came back to watch the video again. When are you going to come out with a another drum video or a podcast have you ever done one of those?
You're welcome.
I still have the Modular 3 and bring it along as a backup helmet.
As far as the drums go I don't play very much these days since my 2 bands are on hold since covid. I haven't made a drum video in years but maybe it's something I can do for content in the summer. I'll give it some serious thought.
A podcast is something that would have to be done on regular schedule and I'm not sure I want to commit to that since I still work a full-time job and have a family. I would never rule it out but I don't really see it happening. Maybe if I was retired I could make the time but retirement is years away. Thanks for the comments John.
Also have you used the BRP Nav app for Lake George? How well does it work or should we use the paper maps?
I've almost given up on the brp app. I didn't even launch it for the the trip we took in February. I really had no need but I do notice that if you use the app then your phone will slowly die through the day. It can't balance use of the app and charging properly.
Awesome. Definitely better with the camera working properly this time lol. Aside from the visibility the conditions look descent.
The Heated visors would help here?
Thanks. Yes. That's why I was the only one without issues when it was snowing. Thanks for watching Angelo.
Ok cool gotcha on both. Thx for the info :) looking forward to part 2 video!
Paisteboy, liking the new camera setup. 360 degree makes for some excellent footage.
Thanks Eric! I'm wondering what people are thinking of the new format. One viewer commented he thinks he likes the former videos. I like some changes myself.
@@Paisteboy I'm loving the new format. Keep up the great content.
Thanks!
Hey for all the people don't know about the 360 camera how is that thing moving while you're riding or are you recording this and then editing it back and moving it while you're editing?
The camera records a whole globe 360 planet and then I have to edit the 360 footage first to decide what I want the camera to view, then I bring that 360 rendered footage into my main editing program and mix it with the GoPro and handheld footage.
Everytime I come back to your channel there are tons of people on the trails. It's almost like if you can't get out there the day it snows and enjoy it it's going to be all crap the next day. And I think I've seen you guys complain about that before. I think you guys should take a road trip to Upper Wisconsin.
This season is even worse since we haven't had much of a winter. I'm planning an out of state trip right now. Thanks for watching John.
Pasty boy me and my brothers are going to do weekend snowmobiling which area do you recommend with a nice cabin
Are you talking about this coming weekend and are you in New York State?
Iam from Buffalo I met you at last year at the big East power show and burn cliff. We're thinking first week in March.
Ok. It's really hard to say with how unpredictable this season has been. I think your best bet may be to try Rug Hill if the season rebounds. They get a ton of snow there and no permit is required unlike Old Forge. Maybe launch from Winona Forest. There are websites that you can Google for trail cams in that are too. As far as lodging goes I've never stayed overnight there so I'm not exactly sure. If you would like to try Old Forge you could buy a one week pass for about 50 bucks and I would stay at Christy's Motel. If that is booked solid then I would stay at the Old Forge Camping Resort. Hope that helps.
I just purchased a Insta360 cam for snowmobiling videos, and learning the ins and outs. Do you use the insta360 editing software or another one? I've used for years Magix video pro. Advise is welcome. Thanks
I use the insta360 software first then import it to Vegas pro. You have to pre-editd all of the footage that you want to use, render it and then import it to your final editing software. It is very time consuming and I am in the middle of editing day 2 of the first ride of the season right now. The first video will be out later today about 4pm. Adding the 360 cam to videos is great for the view but it probably extended my editing time by 4 times or more. It also depends on how much you end up recording with the 360. I record the whole day and then decide what I want to use which takes a very long time. If you want to spend a lot of time editing videos like mine then you picked the right camera. A GoPro or similar camera will on;y get you 1 POV but the edit time is a fraction. Good luck and thanks for watching.
What size card and how many for a typical day? I plugged mine into the usb port of the sled to charge the battery all day thanks
I have a 1T card all day.
Don't you just hate getting behind a group of slow pokes Looks like good riding bro Is great video good job
Yeah. Especially when they don't realize they are holding up people that aren't even speeding.
Thanks for watching Alan.
No heated shields ?
Just me with the Oxygen. The rest of the guys had brp Modulars.
Those Guys need to invest in an electric shield’s.
They've thought about it but it's almost 200 bucks for something you only need twice a season usually. I even thought about it before I bought the Oxygen helmet. Thanks for watching Art.
How much is a season pass for the trails now?
Permits are 80 bucks until November 15th and 100 after that for the whole season.
@@Paisteboy not bad I can remember when I lived there they were 65 for the season.
Yes. It just went up from 65 bucks about 2 seasons ago.
I like the new audio but not sure about the camera moving all over. Takes some getting used to maybe. Defiantly ads a new perspective to watching your videos.
Thanks Mark. I'm still experimenting with the different views and capabilities with the new camera. It's easy to over do it when it's new so hopefully I figure out the sweet ratio. These cameras are great for short clips so maybe I'll start making some shorts too.
@@Paisteboy Ya it's good. It just takes time to tweak it . Good you got more snow.
👍
I think I like the pasty boy with old technologies better
The GoPro was totally snowed over and I wouldn't have had any footage here if I didn't have the 360 cam. I will have more handheld video footage in part 2 but I still had GoPro audio issues for most of Day 2 and Day 3. The 360 cam works with no issues so far. Sorry. What was it that you liked more about the previous format?
@@Paisteboy it was raw fun footage back the technology doesn'take the video better look at it like vinyl records simple is always better
@@jeffbrown8974 I appreciate your feedback. I'm trying to keep the videos from just being the same old thing and people are commenting that they like it. I'm not abandoning the GoPRo footage but this 360 camera saved me as you may have seen when all of that snow was on my GorRo lense and none of the GoPro footage was usable. You sound like you've been a viewer for sometime but this is the first time you've commented. I'm getting new comments from viewers that I haven't heard from before saying that they really like the 360 cam. I don't want to over do it with the 360 though.
ya gotta treat the inside of your sheild with divers anti fog or rainex
I'm not having an issue with the shield it's my glasses.
Thanks for watching Elton.
It works for anything glass or plastic
@@eltonwhite8490
I'm a bit hesitant to put anything on my Oxygen helmet shield other than screen cleaners. Is that safe for an Oxygen helmet screen?
I use either paintball antifog or divers antifog on all my helmet visors it's kind of the consistency of windex, spray it on and wipe dry with a soft cloth works like a damn charm not sure about the oxygen helmet.
Ok. Thanks. I look into those.
what snowmobiler doesnt like snow come on guys put on your big boy pants and hit it lol
They couldn't see a thing and Dave have vision issues too. If I was wearing my BRP Modular I would have been saying the same thing. Glad I bought an Oxygen helmet. Thanks for watching Rich.
You must be the jerk that pushes people too hard and then they have an accident you must be the a hole in the group
@@chuckb9867 really relax karen smh
@@Paisteboy it wasnt seriouse big guy just some good old fashion joking around
@@richcamera7323 I don't like people badgering people when they're trying to have a good time safety is involved here wanting someone to ride beyond their limits is not a good day I've been to Old Forge and seeing where people were killed for real I had a house there that happened on my street
grown men just whining, just man up and ride
lol. stop trolling.
