    ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
    In this video, Daniel Maritz from DLM Men's Lifestyle discuss 5 things that every guy without a father should know and understand. A lot of guys had no father figure growing up, and this may have a profound effect on their lives. So many men did not have a healthy father and son relationship and many kids are growing up without a dad, making them think "Why does my dad not want me".
    Keep in mind that your father figure does not have to be your biological father, you can choose your own father figure to learn from. This is a must watch video where Daniel talks about the dangers of a fatherless society and also gives you some life advice on what you can do to break this cycle. Choose to be an overcomer and be the change that this world needs.

    Thank you so much for making this! Wish I heard this when I was a younger dude. Growing up, I felt like I had to be my own man and just “figure it out” on my own. Perhaps you can relate.
    Without guidance from a proper father figure, I felt rudderless and made many mistakes...still do. But I keep pushing and try not to be too hard on myself.
    Rise above the urge to use growing up w/out a dad as an excuse/crutch.
    Another thing... I was blessed with a wise and loving mother; but no matter how much perspective and life advice you get from your mom, it’s important to seek additional advice from a man.
    Whether a role model, relative, boss, neighbor, or even in books or videos like this... A man’s advice and life lessons will often differ from a woman’s. It will make you a stronger, wiser and more confident man.
    I can only hope that young dudes head this advice.
    Never stop seeking - it is our unique responsibility.

    My father left me 6 years ago because of work, but he never gave my family money but only sometime

  • @Soul7aker
    @Soul7aker Před rokem +2

    I'm 34 and my father left the family when I was around 8, I can barely remember him. But I use to see him passing by on a rusty old bicycle every day, I assumed he was coming back from work or something. I never said something to that person, he never said something to me, he didn't even look at me, but you could tell he was looking straight at the front, like forcibly ignoring his surroundings.
    I never knew if he was my real father or not, I remember we called him by one name, but some years ago I was looking through some documents and my birth certificate says a different name.
    I'm 34, and I can't find my inner voice, that moment when I saw him every day, and I didn't say anything, and he didn't do anything, I was there on the sidewalk, and he just swift passed right beside his son. That mute moment stuck with me all this time. Now I can't face some situations, I find it very hard to stand for myself, like if I was waiting on him to say something, and try hard to endure life.
    I send a big hug to everyone that is going through this situation. You are awesome and no person, father or not, will make a difference in you.
    And know this, facing situations "like a man" means not blaming others for your actions and life choices. Not to take it on your wife, son, mother, or friends. Life is hard, but no matter what happens, only you can come out of "that" place where you are, and no one else is to blame, not even you.
    Perhaps that friend didn't advise you well, that boss didn't hire you, that girl didn't write you back... well it's not their fault, is no one's fault. You followed that advice because you didn't know better, now you do, you didn't get the job because you didn't what it took, now you know what you want and need. That girl didn't give you a chance, now you know what type of partner to look for.
    Look past them and keep on living, know to receive a word and use it with your will.

    My father died from cancer when I was 11 years old. He was the first man in our entire country to start a business with bathroom tiles. He was extremely ambitious, extremely loving and extremely helpful to everyone in need. He was never greedy, he never loved money more than anything else and he always put his family first. I'm 25 now and a lot of years have passed, I've grown a lot mentally but not physically. I'm still the skinny kid I used to be, but I have maturity, self-respect and thirst to go forward in life for my family. I have tons of friends, tons of people who respect me, tons of success that I built on my own, but for some reason I still cry for my father, sometimes I will cry for hours for him like I am doing right now. It's been so many years and oh I miss him so... I cannot put it in words. He was superman, the best business man and loveliest man I ever met, until he was gone... I hate myself and I constantly have self harming thoughts and I cry for him a lot... If anyone has ever been in a situation like me I want some help, please. How do I stop being so depressed even after all these years, it feels like it will never end this depression I have...

So when I meet a boy that noped out on his...it is visceral , my disdain.

    I'm a 26 years old struggling with depression, after many months of introspection I came to understand that most of the problems I've had throughout my life are because of my father completely abandoning my family when I was 4 (maybe less).
    I mean problems like lack of social skills, impossibility to excel at anything I do, always feeling inappropriate in each context (I didn't even give a shit about my father, I made as he never existed because I hated him).
    Imagine living like that troughs all your adolescence and early adult life.
    Realising what brought me down all my life is what ultimately worsened my depression.
    Now because of this I'm living through the worst challenge of my life and this video really helped.
    Some of the things might seem corny but they're true and it's nice to hear them said by someone who ACTUALLY BELIEVES them.

      Your absolutely correct boys who grow up with an absent father or an abusive father or an ignorant father are far more likely to drop out of school, to drop out of college, to get kicked out of the military, they are far more likely to not be motivated into playing sports to become athletes, they are far more likely to lose their jobs, they are far more likely to be evicted from their homes, they are far more likely to end up being homeless, they are far more likely to get addicted to alcohol & drugs, they are far more likely to join cult groups, gang groups, hate groups, terrorist groups, they are far more likely to commit violent crimes, mistreat women, bully other men, abuse children, they are far more likely to be arrested & mistreated by corrupted cops, they are far more likely to get harsher longer sentences in prison by the criminal justice system, they are far more likely to be physically abused, raped, sexually assaulted in prison, they are far more likely to get the death penalty, they are far more likely to be put on death row & to be executed to death and that would be the end of their life. When I mean far more likely I do not really mean they will completely just saying that they will mostly end up that way because male nature is wild most obviously contains sex and violence. I grew up in an upper middle class family, but my parents were pretty much absent throughout my life growing up. They were nothing but bill payers for me. They always expect me to figure everything out by myself, and if I mess up, I would get yelled at and sometimes even get an ass whooping (especially with my dad when he just came home from work). I became a troubled teenager because of that and I remember very clearly I had thoughts of ending my life every now and then since I was 13 because I feel like I was born in the wrong family and grew up in the wrong environment. Having abusive & extremely toxic older sister + getting bullied in school almost on the daily basis for my height helped with messing up my mental health (thanks to these experience I became a nihilistic anti social throughout my teenage years). As expected, almost every single aspects in my life went downhill. I suffered with depression, I used to be an excellent student but somehow during senior highschool I struggle so much up until college, I had no dreams, no goals, my life was meaningless and full of suffering both from the past and present

    • @williammandang
      @williammandang Před rokem

      But I'm so extremely grateful 2 years ago I watched a video of david goggins. I was always obsessed with the military (because they're cool and the fact that they were willing to sacrifice their life to protect those who they care about amazes me), especially the special forces and I always dreamt of enlisting in my country's military but due to height limitation I couldn't join any branches here. Anyway that video that I watched was david goggins' interview with lewis howes. That video just popped on my youtube homepage for no reason, I never even bother searching for motivational videos up until that time. I saw how goggins tell about his childhood, how he almost became a lost cause just like me, until he adopted what he called a "dog mentality". It sparked a fire inside of me. Something that I've never felt before. I didn't even know what a role model is, or how important and impactful these figures can be for any human being. David goggins ultimately became a role model for me

    • @williammandang
      @williammandang Před rokem

      After I found goggins, I found jordan peterson. He don't only tell you how to get out of your suffering, but he teaches values, morality, and how as men we should strive to be virtrous. I implemented his teachings in my life since then and it turned my life 180°. That's when I realize the importance of a father figure / role models. Without these people, we just wander throughlife aimlessly with no direction and no purpose. Living a meaningless life which often times will lead to depression and other mental problems
