The US State Department has reduced the Travel Advisory Level from level 3 to level 2 for travel to the Mindanao region of the Philippines.
They still claim the same threats exist, but now they say to take precautions instead of travel not advised.
Those of us that live in Mindanao know it is safer than what the US State Department claims.
