I own the same boat and I would like to make same arch as this one. I like it very much! Is it possible to acquire blueprints for it? I'm wiling to pay for them

Well, I find this very interesting in that the mounting used three bolts per mount , when I thought, well that is fine as long as he had that solid backing plate only two bolts were really active so with that solid backing plate and a good silicon bedding he could have reduced mounting bolts to two per leg. If one is a good engineer and needs to minimise on bolts then those backing plates would a have been made without that large aperture at the centre and one bolt per mount would have been good enough. I think I would have added one diagonal member on each side and not relied only on the welded junction joints. I must admit, that stainless steel used for the Radar arch is pretty sturdy enough and diagonals in a radar structure tend to litter that artistic and cleaner effect. The TIG welding is of the highest standard. Congratulations.
Incidentally , that sun canopy should be attached to the radar arch as structurally it has very little strength to stop it moving laterally in a heavy rolling motion. For pitching it is well thought out, but not for rolling.

The mounting there was terrible, it will crack the glass over time. I would epoxy a larger plate on the back to spread the load and strengthen the glass, the front side should be flush on the glass with a 1/4" hard rubber gasket on it. Day and age of the 12 month warranty period- should of got the fabricator to install it and get a 10 year guarantee. Boating ain't cheap!!! try it that way and it goes pear shaped quickly!

DIY? I don't think PowerBoat Television knows what this acronym spells out.

Hi Tim, thanks for the feedback! This is definitely one of our less hands-on projects, and we will be updating the title now. Thanks for watching!

very ordinary effort, the mounting brackets should be designed to sit flat on the glass
