The shred definitely hasn’t left you, and after hearing you say on your guitarsoles pod cast that you planned to do a review of this Ormsby…. I got a little excited👌. I’m ashamed that I live in Perth and have not yet tried any of the Ormsby line up. I think the time has come.

The neck on it is fucking insane. It's one of the most playable guitars I've ever owned or played.

Also, the strap connects to the right place, even is that is super minor.
I'd want one but I feel if I played it people would expect me to play like Rusty and be disappointed that I'm just a mortal. So more "vintage" shred guitars for me that suite my more vintage level of chops.

Dude never mind the shred, which you're still top notch, but your vibrato is *on point*. Most players neglect that part of their playing.

yeah, I mean, it looks so close to the bridge that i wonder if it has its own color, different from what one might expect from a neck pu placed further down the scale. Does it?
The "sweet spot" is myth. Brightening and tightening a neck pickup that's being used through a high gain rig is a good thing.

I enjoy shredding, but I also think a guitar should be able to adapt to different style. To me a good shred guitar is the kind of guitar you can shred on, but then turn around and play some laid back bossa nova grooves or even some pop or funk song.
I did not know this guitar exploded if you played jazz. Makes you think...
