This was a radio that was ahead of its time!! I loved the fact it had the CAT interface and a spectrum scope.... But after getting my ICOM IC-R8600, the Yaesu went to find a better home! 🙂
I like your channel, but your videos are constantly shaking and give me motion sickness and I can't watch it for long. I am not sure why it has to be this shaky?
The vr5000 is not a great hf radio. It’s attractiveness is the range it can tune. If you are interested in a great hf radio for around $500 or less, get an Icom R75

Some are handheld by nature of the content. Some are from a tripod.
Can you compare with other at HF? There is not so good opinion about it ..
