  • It was time for me to change, and I did! These 2in1 Hobbywing Fusion motors are sooo good! I bought both, but there's one clear winner for me.

Great comparison. It's funny seeing an RC without (seemingly) a speed controller. Kind of empty like when we were used to mechanical speed controls, then ESCs came out!

Hi, I ordered the SE 1200kv for my R1001 Wilderness Beluga and can't wait to test it out. Thanks for the comparison, I might be considering the Pro for my next upgrade, maybe ;)

Are these motor's just for crawler cars or any type. They would be useful in some cars with limited space inside.

You can use it in other cars, the limit is only 2300KV.
But don't use it in a car bigger than 1/10

Thanks for the video. Are either one of these motors rebuildable? Can you change the bearings when they wear out or do you have to throw the whole thing away. Thanks.

They are not rebuildable. When you remove the back plate you'll find a completely sealed internal. This is maybe a downside, but no way water can get in there! Which is a good thing 👍🏻

@@hofsplace Thanks for the quick reply. With nothing to lose, I took the back end off to no doubt confirm what you say. Nothing to lose because sadly my motor is toast -- the output shaft bearing is shot allowing the spindle to wobble considerably, while inside the can it sounds crunchy. After this disappointing experiment with the Fusion, I will probably go back to my old combination of a 1080 and a Holmes Crawlmaster from now on. Cheers.

Yeah, sometimes you can have bad luck. Have you tried Surpass Hobby yet? s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EHJP0n1
      I like these brushed motors

@@hofsplace Thanks for the lead. I wouldn't call it bad luck. We run our trucks in horrible conditions around here. Motors take a beating.
