When I first started doing events and craft fairs. I would just sit back and let the customers look around and if they were interested in anything they would buy it. I find that when I get up and engage more with customers I get more sales. Even if they say they are just looking around. I’d show them what I have, letting them know how it was made or the potential of how it could be worn or use. I kid you not they usually end up buying something before leaving my tent. Of course I’m just talking from my own experience and what works for me😊 Still being mindful and not be too pushy 😊Your items are super cute 🥰
Thank you so much for the advice & complement! I definitely like talking to people, I run into an issue where I tend to ramble on about things to people lol. I’ll definitely take your advice though and work on being more engaging without being overbearing for sure!

Hey there, I have been enjoying watching your videos and the journey of owning and starting a small business. I am also a small business owner, I design stickers, bookmarks and shirts. I am located in Jacksonville, Florida and going to the craft fairs in our area but also signed up to be in the Avalon Fall Craft Fair coming up in a few weeks on November 11th. It looks like it could be a pretty nice event and the cost is pretty cheap to be a vendor. I believe their basic spot was $35 and premium was $55. Considerably lower than the pop ups in Jacksonville. I have been paying between $100 and $200 per recent. Thought I would mention it since its near Orlando.
I have been evolving my craft show set up displays after realizing what takes us so long to get set up and how we can make things quicker and easier. Also have been watching what people’s habits are when it comes to them viewing a booth. I notice not a lot of people will step more than a few feet into a booth no matter what you have inside. Little things like this are helping me to display things more efficiently and effectively. Looking forward to more of your videos!
Thank you so much for watching! I actually have a huge market coming up in Jacksonville in November called Market for Makers so I will be in your area soon! I am pretty booked for the rest of October & November for markets but that one does sound like a great one to go to. It's definitely a process learning how to better display your things and how to make your life easier for set up and break down. I hope to learn from you too :)

One suggestion I thought of... Instead of having your 2 clothing racks in the front on the sides, maybe leave one rack where it is, and switch the other rack with your table, if that makes sense? That way, customers can see your cute items on your table. Thank you for sharing ❤

You know it’s so hard to engage at your booth and then I’m like I don’t want anyone to make a purchase just cuz they like me 😅 - but more my luck I get stuck talking to someone who doesn’t buy anything but just distracts me from people who do 😮😂😂 - that’s what happens to me when I try to engage - ugh.
