The 456 And the 355 are my favorites ferrari's , beautiful cars
Best looking 2+2ferrari ever made
Great review, lots of camera angles, well edited! Great stuff mate. Love these, always thought very underrated!
Thanks mate. I am still trying to nail down my own 'style' of reviews, but they are not my bread and butter ;)
Keep the reviews coming! That's a really nice car!
great review, can't wait to see your Porsche back on the road
Thanks mate, neither can I.
Franny and I both watched. Nice job.
We have that same issue with our Ferrari and second gear when the car is cold.
Love the drive by shots of your video too! Heidi
I am still trying to refine my reviewing style, but I am getting better. Thanks guys.
Home Built By Jeff I sent you an email just a bit ago. Heidi
Amazing and so beautiful it hurts. Saw it for the first time in Sweden in '95 and several times since then. When something breaks on it, it can be so expensive you will literally shit yourself. Especially replacement body panels.
Beauty always hurts Ive just bought a red version 30,000 miles FSH And hey it cant be as bad as my maserati 3200gt this expensive but you need to be in the position to be able to service and maintain the beasts anyway its one of 403 in UK one of 16 red ones antis a rare baby Ive paid £37500 for the privilege but Let me tell you in 4-5 years this will be £80,000 and climbing so a great investment you can have fun with.
Great job Jeff! You're doing much better than I ever could. I've always loved and desperately wanted a 456. Gorgeous, well under the radar, luxurious, and a V12 with a gated shifter to boot! What more could a person ask for?
It's a beautiful car that is for sure.
What's the piece of paper on the steering wheel?
+B D, It's likely to be a cheat sheet. Acceleration figures, power, torque etc. If he is reviewing the car he won't want to get them wrong although he never mentioned any of them.
Correct, although Graham said the power and torque when we were looking at the engine so the cheat sheet was more for talking points.
The perfect car for all things. Beautiful, fast AND practical. I want it so bad....
Love these Jeff, thanks for sharing.
Operating instructions "post-it" noted to the steering wheel or was it your script?? 😄
Haha, it was my notes. Next time I might have to put it in a more discreet place ;)
Great review Jeff, but where the Mrs Jeff segment? :)
A really beautiful Ferrari. But I would be an anxious owner. Will stick to my 328.
Nice review. The comments about the steering are on point. The car drives very precisely, and on the track seems to shed 1,000 pounds and is very predictable. As the owner notes, the traction control is very intrusive and should be shut off for maximum performance, provided you are comfortable with a bit of wheelspin at all sorts of speeds! Mine is a GTA with the automatic and it is important to note that the shift programming, and vehicle performance, is significantly more aggressive in the "3" position versus "D." All around a very impressive, if subtle, GT car.
5.5 litre v12 ........very very coot car....thanks guys!!!!!!
I didn't know that Jeff used to do reviews
those cars have bottomed few years ago and now are starting to go up again, i'm sure in few years you wont be able to find one for less than 200k
Definitely not a manual one.
It appears the alarm module needs to be replaced. The red warning light left of the left window switch blinked at start up and is solid when driving. The ni-cd batteries in module leak over time. If you replace the module, the red warning turns off after the alarm is disabled. I believe there is a similar module made for GM and I s compatible for a fraction of the price of the Ferrari.
Graham has since sold the car, but that could be useful for other owners. Thanks.
You got in the back??? 😱 I cant even get in the front!
I had the same problem getting 2nd gear with a 275GTB. When it was cold, I had to shift from 1st to 3rd. Once I drove it some more, I could shift from 1st to 2nd. I wonder why?
JAG312 Still a racing car at heart. You aren’t supposed to really drive it before the engine warms up.
The camera did work the first time you just wanted to drive it again right? The older cars seems to ride better than the latest ones. New cars seem to have firm suspension to get 5 star safety with swerve avoidance manouvers.
I think we just get used to newer cars all driving so well, that the basic driving in a new Ferrari, could be similar to a Camry. Where the older classics, have more individual quirks, which make them a more unique driving experience.
Sounds noisy at tickover, is the exhaust standard? These cars w ere designed to be understated.
Have car makers really made much progress since the 456M was built 20 year ago?
Amazing isn't it. Even more amazing, my S5 is a 2008 and is, by the stats, fractionally faster. So only really 10 years difference, and my S5 was not that special when it came out...
I just want one or two😁
I haven't even sat in a Ferrari, let alone driven one. I'm just a tad jealous.
I have been lucky enough to sit in a couple now, but that was the first (and second) time I ever got to drive one. I have been very lucky.
@@HomeBuiltByJeff you just got "rid off" the first footage, to get to drive it a second time.
Smart move.
I would rather have one of these over any modern Ferrari. "Pure class!"
It's the thinking mans Ferrari and im sticking to that.
I GOT ONE ON OUR OLD BARN!!!!
whats the latest mate - selling?
cars with quirks give it soul whether it's a ferrari or a 240z and in the race towards refinement cars are becoming forgettable. my one visual nit pick of this car is the mundane even for the era wheels. i'd not suggest anything blingy but come on ferrari!
The whole car is really very understated. Definitely doesn't scream FERRARI like an F355 or similar.
812 superfast is an abomination compared to this beauty
youre comparing apples to oranges. The modern equivalent of this car is the GTC4Lusso but I still prefer this car to it
@@ImperialDiecast the gtc lusso even worse looking than the 812
@@paulthomson9709 yeah, although I think it is an improvement over the FF
@@ImperialDiecast both hideous
@@paulthomson9709 You're not wrong. Can't bring myself to like them. A Ferrari should be a beautiful car.
when Ferrari 456 was launched it was the most beautiful car I had ever seen. Nowadays it was ugliest car I've ever seen
please do tell me how this car's predecessor, the Ferrari 412, is prettier.
A White mans car ...Thank God
carforumwanker lots of Indians drive them too.
Obviously you're not a car reviewer as you were lost for words and didn't say much but kept repeating yourself.
Worse car review ever
