Marella Explorer 2 Adriatic Cruise - Split

Welcome to our last stop on this cruise. We have docked in the beautiful city of Split. It is Croatia's second largest city and is home to Diocletian's Palace. We cannot believe it is our last full day of the cruise and it is time to head home tomorrow. However, let's not think of that just yet.
First we need to disembark and go exploring. Luckily the ship docks in the city and so it is only a quick walk to the main area. Before heading to the palace we first went for a walk to find the local beach. It was very pretty but was just past a residential area and we were a bit nervous of getting lost. so after a quick look at the sea we headed back to the centre. Here we had a quick look around the market before heading into the palace. What an amazing place. A real warren of alleyways, shops and restaurants. You could easily spend hours here.
After some exploring we headed back to the ship (after seeing a black giraffe) to enjoy the last evening on board. Time to head back to Dubrovnik and then the UK tomorrow. See you in the morning.
