Marella Explorer 2 Adriatic Cruise - Trieste Italy and Slovenia

- Welcome to the Italian/Slovenian border. Come and join us as we head over the border into Slovenia before exploring Trieste in Italy.
After disembarking the ship we headed by coach into Slovenia. First stop was the Predjama Castle. This is a Renaissance castle built within a cave mouth. What an amazing place. Just surreal walking around a castle built into a mountain. We really recommend you come and visit if you get a chance.
Once we had explored the castle, it was time to head over to the nearby Postojna Caves. These are the second longest cave systems in Slovenia and were formed by the Pivka River. Again what a fascinating place to visit including the worlds only underground working Post Office. Also, who knew that baby dragons were real! They are and they live in these caves!
Then it was time to cross the border back into Italy to have a wander around the beautiful city of Trieste before heading back on board. Certainly a day that we will never forget! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. See you at our next Stop, Ancona in Italy!
The vistas in this vlog were INCREDIBLE! I watch a lot of cruise vlogs and I’ve never seen these views before! Those tunnels were INCREDULOUS!!!

Hi. It was an amazing day! The trip is 7 hours in total including transfers. It was £62 per person. We would definitely recommend it. Hope you have a fabulous cruise.
