Anyone here after tyreese maxey Also noticed how a knicks player wearing a number 3 jerseg missed a crucial free throw in the clutch again??? Josh Hart had his John Starks moment
They haven’t beaten the Pacers in a playoff series since the 1999 Eastern Conference Finals Since then, the Pacers have defeated the Knicks in their past 3 playoff meetings: 2000 ECF - Pacers won 4-2 2013 East Semis - Pacers won 4-2 2024 East Semis - Pacers won 4-3
Ewing and Reggie carried those 2 teams on theyre back every yr.too bad they both couldnt get a 2nd star . Reggie is probably the most clutch player ive ever watched.. Miller Time made the playoffs great to watch.
Me too. They basically reused the court from the 1993-94 season then downsize the line. It also occured to other teams' courts as well (except for the Bulls and the Cavaliers, their current arenas were opened in the 1994-95 season so they have brand new courts with the downsized three-point line.) Well, it wasn't just NBA arenas, but non-NBA arenas with the NBA-spec court as well. The Hartford Civic Center in CT had the old line's shadow when they downsized their court's NBA three line. You would see it in Ray Allen's college highlights. Even though the high school three point line is as close as the downsized NBA line, Ray still shoots from the high school line. Even though the Knicks would have a new court in 1995-96 season, the old three point line shadow was still there. I wonder if the 1995-96 Knicks court was actually built on an older court.
I always noticed that at the time. I remember as a kid thinking of it as if someone tried to use a pencil eraser on the court to erase the old 3-point line, and didn't do a good enough job to remove it completely.
Reggie is the best 3 pt shooter and clutch shooter of all time, don’t tell me curry curry plays in a soft defence era created by Adam Silver just for curry to shine
This Miller game and TMac vs Spurs will always be the most shocking NBA moments because of the shift in momentum and how a seemingly dull ending shifted 360. NBA and basketball at its best!
Reggie Miller really was THAT dude, really wished he was more unselfish and took more shots in his career..cause bro easily could've cracked 30k if he did
Remember this game clearly when i was 9 years of age....oh my god! I said to myself this done and dusted....i went to the shop and came back i see reggie miller jumping and spinning like a gig.....this is one of the greatest comeback for me....8 points 9 sec wow
That was a different series although they are similar. You are talking about Reggie going crazy in the 2nd half in game 5 at the Garden but the Pacers lost the series. This is game 1 of the next season. Pacers took a 3-1 lead but then won in 7.
I ran around the house like a maniac and paraded over to my New York neighbors in my Reggie jersey howling like a lunatic. Greatest finish ever against a Knick team I loooooved to hate with the passion of a thousand suns.
Stunning mistakes after mistakes. No idea why pacers had to foul after tied 105-105, two missed free throws from Knicks, when Ewing got the rebound why he had to shoot instead of passing out and ran out the clock, why had to foul Miller for an offensive rebound, last play was ridiculous should have given to the star player to finish the last play
Ewing shot cause the game was tied and the clock was running down, no point of passing out to get a more difficult shot with 7 seconds left and run the clock down. But yeah a lot of silly fouls
With all the grit & grind, heart & sweat that the Knicks were famous for at the time, they were generally low iq, a mentally fragile team. What they were a bit like the early 90's Trail Blazers (who in the same lame and embarrassing style, lost 3 years in a row to Detroit, Lakers and Bulls)
3:38 why is that not a foul on Indiana? No, it is not allowed to push or intentionally use physical force against an opponent in basketball, even when you have the ball. Basketball is a non-contact sport, and players are expected to play the game with fairness and respect for their opponents Miller pushed and that's that, and he knew he did it after it happened. Doesn't take away from his performance with the ball in his hands, but still. And Spike Lee saw it(I think that's him)! If you listen carefully you can hear him screaming about and stamping his foot when Miller hits the next three.
I mean he got away with a foul pushing the dude down on the inbound, then the guy freaks out and throws it right to him. Never should have happened though.
Even though Reggie crapped on the Knicks when you look at the whole Ewing-Knicks & Reggie-Pacers rivalry they were pretty much even. They met in the playoffs 6 times from 1993 to 2000 with Knicks winning 3 times and the Pacers winning 3 times. The difference is the Knicks got to the Finals twice while the Pacers got to the Finals once. If anything the Knicks were more successful in this era than Indiana.

Facts
Am I the only one that can see the old (original?) three point line shadow next to the closer one they moved up for the ‘95 season?
Me too. They basically reused the court from the 1993-94 season then downsize the line. It also occured to other teams' courts as well (except for the Bulls and the Cavaliers, their current arenas were opened in the 1994-95 season so they have brand new courts with the downsized three-point line.)
