It definitely sounds the closest to Epica and Ayreon, blending powerful Latin lyrics with a touch of an oriental feel. We’ve tried to strike a balance between the mighty, bombastic sounds and the more atmospheric parts.Since it’s the first track people will hear from this album, it’s super important to us and we’re really excited for people to hear it!
Aeterna takes the point of view of a star about to go supernova to explore how everything in the universe is interconnected, like a cosmic web made from stardust. OMFG this is way better than what I expected. At some moments, it sounds like those amazing Symphonic / "Gothic" Metal bands from the 90's, such as the golden days Tristania, The Sins Of Thy Beloved and Therion from Vovin era. What a blast!!! So proud of this goddess!!

Hey Arjen, now that you're working with Simone, I don't know if you recorded any guitars for the album, but you definitely could join her on a latin america tour, and come to Mexico.
I have a glimmer of hope that could happen, I mean, it's the closest we Latin American fans will get to seeing an Ayreon show live. Which by the way is something I dream of seeing one day, I'm filling the piggy bank to make that happen.

First, what a great song that gets even better the more often it is listend to. The growth of Simones voice is actually really impressive. Over the last years there are numerous breathtaking performances like "Rise again" in London or "Once upon a nightmare" in the Covid concert. I don`t know what it is it all sounds fuller, more versatile - it cuts deeper. We live in a time with so many amazing female vocalists but Simone has her place among the very best. Congrats both of you to this great collab, really looking forward what will be next - vinyl is preordered for sure.

Of the female metal singers who go solo, only Tarja Turunen has managed to create her own sound. This sounds like any symphonic metal song in the last 20 years.

I love the composition, power and symphonic elements. This is so awesome, I listened to it three times in a row. The electronic break is just in the right time to shift your mood into some groove. And it needn't be said, Simone's voice is out of this world.
