My friend has been saving up barrels of all types since act 1 in our current playthrough, as of yesterday the total count was 94 barrels; He has also been saving smokepowder bombs, fireflasks, wine, the runepowder bomb & vial, basically anything explosive & flammable. Poor Gortash will be nothing but a fine red mist by the time he is done, and our PCs will also join in on the explosion lmao
I have a save on tactician where he's encased in fireworks boxes and smoke powder barrels in his room. I already used it on him and passed that part, but I keep the save for whenever I feel like blowing him up again. I thought that exact same as you, feels like giving him a taste of his own medicine. Extra funny considering where I got most the fireworks boxes 😂@@AndreTheSalty
Blackpowder is a conventional weapon and therefore it's use in combat is entirely fair. These are stacks of explosives used against an ennemy combatant. Entirely fair game in war

Was a bit of a head-scratcher to get everything in the right order in round one, but I did manage to save her eventually (doesn't make much difference story-wise, sadly) - and even Yurgir survived. However: My barrelmancy wasn't quite as strong as here, but I did bring a pretty good amount. Basically as much as my entire party could carry and that included a STR 22 Karlach. For variety, I included two oil barrels (probably useless because fire immunity), two Nautiloid tanks *and* Wulbren's massive Smokepowder (Runepowder?) Bomb which the game never took out of my inventory after I blew up the foundry with it. I *guess* I must've had the placement a bit wrong, because even though Raph was standing right next to the Smokepowder Bomb and close to most of the barrels and tanks when everything went off, he simply got pushed out of the way and to the left of the big Ka-Boom and ended up with just under 500 HP. Probably should've surrounded him with barrels to keep him within Ground Zero.
you can leave and come back over and over to get more barrels from camp as long as you haven't stolen from the treasure room or rescued Hope, and if like me you've been storing barrels since act 1, including rune powder, the explosion is....well....Nukes in Faerun apparently exist.
Lol this is what I do also. I collect these barrels and save them for special moments where I either want to finish it easier or finish a fight in 2 rounds or less.
The change is so minor (basically, two lines in Hope's dialogue) that it amazes me they even included the option. Considering it's so much easier to simply not save her. I'm pretty sure this is a deliberate thing, because her HP-pool is so small (31? 36? on Tactician) that she's guaranteed to die very early if the player doesn't try to actively save her. In this fight, and considering the party is almost certainly going to be all level 12, she's basically a critter WRT her HP-pool. And you don't even get a Steam-achievement for keeping her alive .. :D

I'd like to know how you threw a healing potion on korilla and got the status effect in vulnerable. Is that from a mod or is there something you can tell us an exactly how you got that effect to work with a healing potion and why it lasted so many turns with you throwing her
@@xenawarriorprincess3972 the effect is applied to the healing bottle itself, not korilla. once the bottle leaves lae'zel's hand, the bottle turns invulnerable because of the invulnerability globe. it just fades away on top of korilla because that's where the bottle landed. korilla is still damageable, but the bottle wasn't for that split second it was flying. that does not mean the bottle can transfer invulnerability.

Gortash thinks he is the master of making explosive traps, but he is going to be proven very wrong.
