  • The Premier League have decided to give Everton yet another points deduction, with the latest verdict seeing them drop below Brentford into 16th place in the table. As per the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), Everton exceeded their spending limit by 16.6 million pounds, which the letter of the law suggests should result in a hefty points deduction. This video details why Everton are currently the target of the Premier League's vendetta and assesses whether or not there is potential corruption at play.

Crazy how the 'best league in the world' is so openly corrupt in the age of the internet

I agree its madness, I gave up faith after the rodri handball, and since then it's been ridiculous, and this season they have gone too far, I don't think I'll be watching next season

Spot on my friend. The level of corruption is ridicules, they don't even try and hide it now. The 14 "Other" clubs get cheated blatantly by the Referee/VAR Mafia every time they play. I wish the "top six" would f**k off and form their own league maybe then they will take the mafia with them. Then we could get back to non-corrupt football and fair refereeing.

Bringing in luxury tax is basically saying break as many rules as you want and as long as you can pay the fine then your fine this is exactly what these greedy cheating sheikhs want because the can just buy their way out of any trouble instead of actually receiving an actual punishment and its also proof of just how corrupt and doomed football really is looks like i'm going to have to give upon pro football now

all fans of other clubs should get their facts right before calling us cheats,we breeched because we built a new stadium, bringing jobs and money into a rundown part of liverpool and our so called accountant of an owner,he is an utter gobshite along with masters and prem ,so all you fans who dont back us ,burying your head in the sand remember they could go after your club one day!

Well said, mate well said. Richard Masters has it in for all my club Tottenham can keep their loans, for their stadium away from PSR but Everton can't. Just a shambolic way of running a League. And the best in the world. It would be the best Inthe world if they let smaller clubs try and have ambitions off being more competitive. Instead changing all the rules to benefit the top six. And the status quo.

Manchester city will not have points deductions for a 115 charges. They will get a fine and a transfer ban. And a little slap on the wrist be Richard Masters. Fuck me please bring in an independent regulator or sack masters

The issue is lack of any clarity in decisions. Since they don't want to relegate Man City, the best thing is to scrap the whole system and give back the points deducted so far.

There are seven clubs with 100% premier League attendance, the so called top six, and Everton, if they want to argue that's why the top six should play in the Super league, they have to destroy Everton's 100% record

Man City do not have a 100% prem attendance. They were relegated down to the 3rd tier of football around 95 96 having suffered 2 top flight relegations prior to premier in the 80s. Did you not know?

What have spurs done since 1961 ,or even before. A few fa cups isn't top 6 . Everton have 9 titles ,which would gave been more if not for 2 world wars stopping 2 of our title winning sides building on their success.

Everton have a decent history but they have been poor for such a long time now and history alone doesn't guarantee a position in the premier league. They have been close to relegation quite a few times over the years and really should have gone down in the 90s. No one deserves a place in the top division on history alone, but should they get relegated because of the points deductions, then so be it if the deductions are deserved. I would expect Everton to more than likely be promoted straight back up, though there is no guarantee of that. My one bugbear about all this though is, if Everton and Forest are charged and deducted points, then why are they seemingly being treated differently from Chelsea and City ?

They are sinking clubs big time very soon they will reduce the teams to 18 like rest of Europe...pretty sure the Premier league be happy if it was 10 clubs only i miss the game before it died in the 90s
