The thing about underwear for superheros is not that theyw ear it but that they wear it as 'outerwear'. Think batman or superman for example.
NIce job on Strands some got quite a few answers and still didnt get the "fowl" connection.
These recent purple categories with the movie directors/fruit homophones prevented me from getting all four categories. I did GREAT with Wordle/Strands today.

yes, fowl is another name for a bird. I do think it's a specific type of bird but most birds we know and talk about are considered fowl, if I'm not mistaken. thanks for the video, Kenny! 😃
I was very familiar with the word fowl when I was young because I was keen on fancy poultry , especially waterfowl. Chicken was not used back then . The jungle fowl descendants were either bantams or large fowl breeds.

I was really rooting for you during Wordle today, especially since you kept saying "nicer." YAY!! I got it in 4, but I used friendlier starting words. My solve: ADIEU - SNORT - FINER- NICER Strands: You thought of "Ugly Duckling" before I did, but I solved it fairly quickly with no hints. In Connections, I didn't know the Directors either, and like you, I did think that they were last names. I do know the names of some Directors, obviously not these. "Carpenter" had me thinking of Musicians. Good solves today, Kenny, and as always, a good video!! ❤😊
Ended up going with Wiser for my last Wordle guess today. Ive been really killing it in Connections surprisingly today. And altogether i knew i was thinking about birds i had to use 2 hints in strands today

when i did the wordle today i did brine first which gave me 4 yellows then i did inert which also gave me 4 yellows then i did resin which also gave me 4 yellows, i was about to lose my mind
I haven't been able to complete Connections for days now. T-T
you did great on this connections! meanwhile, i lost almost all my lives because i didn't think MAGIC would fit in with the sorcerer group. i guess i was imagining that they should've all been verbs so "to woo" made more sense to me than "to magic".
The problem was that "hex" and "charm" could be both nouns or verbs. If you're thinking verbs, it becomes difficult to connect the other two, especially "magic."
You got strands so much quicker than I did! Granted isnt that a story or nursery rhyme not really a fairy tale?
Not a nursery rhyme because it doesn't rhyme. It could be thought of as a fable, but it also is often put with fairytales.

I got really lucky with wordle today; Vinic (randomly generated) - Nicer in 2!! The only one I know from the purple category in Connections is Michael Bay for directing the Transformers movies, the other ones I wouldn't have been able to guess either.

I was between Hiker and Nicer, but I really thought NYT almost always tries to pick words that have their own meaning (see my guesses: power, fiber, hiker, liver) nicer is just nice but more. So nice is the root word and -er is modifying it.
So I'm annoyed I lost today because thats so messed up! Also, wordlebot scored me a zero for my geuss of fiber which I thought was a good geuss. You listed plenty of words with "f" and "b". So rude to get a zero score for that. My "luck" score was in the 20's.
I'm really glad you got it though! If I cant make it through, I'm happy other people got lucky where I didn't.
Impressive connections. I thought this one was a little challenging. I did get them, but I also didn't know the directors.
