Yep. Same reason Walmart gets away with their garbage…people put up with it. Once people stop doing that, is when things change.
This is what happened to me once. I asked for an updated rate confirmation because one pallet was damaged so they wanted it deliver to a different location. After I delivered the second stop he send a new updated rate with less money and he claimed I was holding the load hostage. Afn broker. There are nasty horrible brokers out there. It might be my inexperience but he got away with it.

I think you can just safely assume about 1/2 of the trucks idling doesn't own that truck and doesn't pay fuel
My dispatcher works in a climate controlled office. Why should I not have heat or air conditioning while I’m on or off duty. If ya don’t like it get me home everyday. If ya can’t afford it then you have bigger issues.
Company put me into a 2025 pete 579………all of the old trucks have apu,thermo kings……I’ve suggested green apu, and just got a blank stare………..so i will idle the truck when needed……that bus is transporting agricultural workers…….. watermelon season now, I’m at Kroger in Forest Park,Ga right now delivering watermelons…..
That little 'slither' fish is called a 'needle fish'. Very plentiful. They are pretty cool. They can go like heck and skip across the top of the water when being pursued by predators.

Justin, the Lord works in mysterious ways....the morning fiasco yields ya an appointment the other Truckers would fight ya for and he added a dash of sprinklers with the load heading home. God is good, God is great 👍🙏✨Amen. Safe travels heading home and the food looked 😋 as Always. PS the truck idling like the other 3-4 definitely had an awful sound coming out of that engine. They All need to invest in a Green APU, for sure 😮🎉.

Had the same thing happen at a Costco DC in Minnesota, lucky I had a 5 am appt the crash happened around 6 am and the trucks started backing up on to the interstate. Costco went old school pen and paper truck to truck getting it done

Yup that's BS. After 5pm they could give a rats ass about your dilemma.
And since the drivers don't always get to go home at 5:00, they should be paid a bit more than the broker. To help cover expenses that came from having to go back later that day or the next.
I got 80$ for 24 hrs in 1990's it is almost criminal what they pay and it's almost always their fault! The reason trucking does better than rail in a Red admin is because the Republicans are more business friendly than the Dims.

This is the kind of freedom a driver should have, to do as he wishes with his free time / layover time beyond their control. Not the restrictive, ELD LOG BS that I had to deal with as a company Driver forced to sit and wait with the truck & trailer and not beening able to move vehcle at all because of the ELD and my other deliveries schedules / held prisoner with no shower, no bathroom sometimes, and only the food and snacks, drinks I brought with me each week out to survive ...And many times these types of delays out on the road, would only delay me getting home , and then shorten my two days off a week with my family, before having to go out again the next week...Very frustrating, stressful dealing with all the messed up things that would delay me, waste my time, lessened my paycheck / earning potential, and to see nobody cares, nothing will ever change is simply pathetic!...Glad I was able to retire early and get the hell out before that job ruined my life and eventually would kill me...Good Luck...

Ahhh.. You were right in my backyard!!! Punta Gorda isn't AS sleepy anymore...lol I wish I knew you were here - I'd have offered to take you to dinner. Finally if you are ever faced with the unloading delay at this Walmart D/C - go to exit 161 of I-75 and just off the S/B exit is a large Pilot with truck parking behind the Wendy's and if that is full, then cross the traffic light to "Mac Drive" (Yes there is a McDonalds there... lol ) next to Waffle House is more truck parking - both are free I believe. If both are full then go one block further south and there is a Super Walmart you can park overnight, especially if you are carrying Walmart product!

Justin. I read where you come by LAKELAND Fla often. I am a motor coach guy and just replaced my Michelin 275/80R 22.5 that were born on 0317. They only have about 8000 miles and have been housed in a dark garage with temperature control. They have about 5/8 inch of tread. Thinking that they could serve a lot more miles on someone’s trailer . Hate to put them in recycling. Rob. By the way I only have six.

It boggles my mind what truck drivers put up with considering how much power they have and how little compensation they get considering the responsibility. 😮Without them…the Country shuts down. Walmart is done without them….yet Walmart gets to make all the rules 🤷♂️ I guess. Band together folks. 5 bad ratings about a facility doesn’t mean much…but a few hundred does and everyone should refuse to deliver if that’s the case. Just watch how fast things change then.

Why not carry 2 (1X4") boards painted white or a couple of canvas straps weighted on both ends to give you visual for no line back ups? You could carry spares and sale them to new drivers. Another income source.

I feel your pain but you can't put asphalt on at every location. I'm not a tree hugger but land conservation is something we can leave for our kids. Leave something for wildlife and bees. Remember, there's a shortage of bees. Asphalt everywhere could exacerbate the problem. Love the videos though.

Watch out tor the Swift Driver. A Day Cab Driver was backed into earlier this morning by a Swift Driver who was trying to figure out why he's not backing up. Cause he's ramming the trailer our Driver was picking up. The Swift Driver is in jail for driving with a suspended driver's license. And before Jesse took the elderly ladies and Grandma and Daisy and Gigi shopping he towed the truck to the yard to the holding area. And i contacted swift who was like we are sending a driver to get it. And i said make sure they have $$$$ and they was like nope just leave it out of the gate. Nope they want it have to pay $$$$$$$$$$ if not by a month it will be scrapped. It's still drive able. The trailer is in good condition the driver (ours) made the delivery. And Jesse took the ladies shopping. And they are now eating at Golden Corral. And somebody sent me a picture of Jesse's plate and goes dam he can eat and that's his 4th plate. I texted back and said why u think he is 6'5" 281 pound's (he weighed himself on a scale at a thrift s tore earlier today and i said he's built muscler.
