  • BANKS STOPPED LENDING So Dealers Are FORCED TO DO THIS!
In this video you will get to see what car dealers are actually paying for their cars and trucks at auction!
My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.

      Really? LOL
I have a 2017 and a 2019. Neither has had any significant repairs, just one software update and two sets of tires. Since 1970 I have bought vehicles from Chevy, Ford, Dodge. None went as long as these two other than a couple of Hondas.
The best was a Ford Aerostar. I fondly recall driving around with a roll of duct tape which seemed to always be needed.
Off the topic, living in the North East, undercoating was something dealers loved selling. In all my years I had one car, VW, rust. I also had one car "rustproofed." Yes that was the same VW.

@@melissaohio My 2021 Honda Civic Sport had 80 miles on it and I had it a week when I needed service. Was parked in a parking lot at work and the battery was already dead. It had a faulty battery from sitting on the lot for 6 months without being driven once (I bought it at 8 miles on the OD, and that includes my test drive miles). It was covered under warranty and I haven't had a single problem since. The current used price on it is just a couple thousand less than what I drove it off the lot as.

Buddy of mine is a dealer, sold his lot three years ago lock stock and barrel. Today he advertises as a buyers agent. After small advertising, spot ads in regional paper, people contact him with what exactly they want. He goes to auctions, sends customers real time videos of cars. They make buying decision with ultimate high bid. He charges a flat fee, non refundable of $1000. People pay it, most of the time get the cars they want. He’s making money well above what he made as a mid to low price point dealer. Sign of the times? I used him to buy my daughter’s first car. 2020 Mazda CX50, 22k miles with a clean Carfax. It was immaculate, zero issues. At Sacramento auction, before dmv fees I paid $16000. $15k + his $1k. Unbeatable deal since this car would have sold for $20k plus at dealer lot.

The biggest danger with lifted 2015+ F-150's is that a lot of really ignorant guys cut the bars off the frame just behind the front wheels. Those are deflector bars that keep the wheels from decimating the aluminum floor pan/fire wall area where your legs are. Since those bars make it hard for guys to put big tires on their F-150, they often cut them off. Turns them into death traps and not many know to look for those bars before buying.

That RAV4 is probably one of those dumb vehicles that you need to remove the bumper cover to replace bulbs. Poor job putting it back on.

You gotta be kidding. I wonder if my Kia is like that? Probably not the 2024 has all its lights up high right under the hood so probably gotta get to mine through the hood. Most Kias are easy to work on...

Tyger auto sells the roll up covers. Great value too. But if you run it through a carwash, make sure it's not rolled up.
