I bought a new 700-4 in 2016, and still have it. The things that I do not like are: It needs another gear, it needs turf mode, and its too loud. But, I added power steering, and it is a good, tough machine. Never had mechanical problems of anykind.
I have a couple of 4 wheelers but would really like a Side by side! Didn’t know u could turn the bed into additional seating. That’s definitely a plus! Great review!
I owned a 2021 700-2 Pioneer Deluxe which I purchased because I couldn’t get my hands on a 1000. It was ok but I didn’t like the fact that it was a single cylinder or that it had just a 3 speed transmission. Additionally the cab space was pretty tight. Top speed was around 45 mph but it was really wound up at that speed. I traded it on a 1000-3 just a week ago. Much quieter, 6 speed, much faster, more cab room.
I like the hand shift option on the Honda SxS's. I bought a new Suzuki KQ last year, but if I ever buy another new atv it will most likely be a Honda because they have the foot shift option. Everyone says they like the auto's or you get used to it, but I don't/haven't. I know lower displacent machines, some have the foot shift option, but Honda is the only one that does with 500cc or larger, that I know of. I do still love my Suzuki, just wish it was a semi-auto. IDK, maybe I will end up liking more over time, only have 400 miles on it.

I have one coming next month and that is one thing I was thinking about is storage.. size that's way I keep my atv.. Arctic car prowler 500 has lots of storage I will miss that.. and the size we are on the same page... all around I feel the same way.. I can't wait until next month..
Nice! You will need 2 inch spacers rear if you want to put those wheels on the foreman since it has a straight rear axle and this one has independent rear suspension.
One to add for a negative in Az is the heat under your butt. Anything above 80 and it feels like you have a blow dryer pointed at your back. I sent a query to Design Engineering for a 2021 fit on their custom heat shields. Works in older models and they responded quickly. Maybe you’ve already installed in an earlier video. Thank for sharing on the boring winch video. ⚒
@@ArizonaKid Design Engineering is the name of the company and I’m waiting to hear from them that their existing set for the 700 works in the 2021. They said one customer has ordered and they are waiting back from them on fit and or waiting until they try it themselves. It’s three pieces for under the seat and a couple other hot spots. I noted the install on an other channel and will look for the link.
What about 3 speed trans. Not geared to pull bigger tires. Not a problem in Arizona I'm sure. It never rains so no ruts and mud. Biggest complaint I have heard. It's a different world riding in Mississippi to Arizona
I have the same model, the height is what bothers me, the roof could come down 3" easily. It would help with the looks as well as the practicality of avoiding tree limbs.
@@ArizonaKid Not that I noticed. Not much in the way of rattles either once I adjusted the rubber door stops. Only when things get real dusty do I get squeaks, but they go away after a good wash. I have to say it was the four seat option that sold me. After a year or more of looking at all the other options out there I kept coming back to this model. I had to laugh at your Arizona pin stripe comment, I didn't think you had trees there, just desert. Here in Nova Scotia we have a lot of under brush in woods.
That’s a good question, it’s all about your location I’d say ? Both have the power . But one is wider than the other so can go into smaller areas and the pioneer can be closed in for warmth and it would be harder to do foreman ? Do you have storage ? Foreman is smaller to store ? So many questions you have to ask about you ? But yes both can do the job and cost almost the same . The electric shift might be only big difference to get foreman over pioneer . Can go reverse and forward much faster in my opinion. But go to dealer and test drive them first . Don’t take my word for it

Its my workbench area but I could always park it there and move when I need to use tools / work bench. SMaller turn radius might be nice. I just worry the ATV can't push the snow...but again have zero experience driving an ATV. Have driven a kawasaki Mule but never plowed with one
I think the Pioneer 700-4 is ugly (no offense)...just looks weird with the roof line. Also, I think the dash display is to small and something from 1999. Otherwise, I think the 700 is reliable and fun to drive. Merci

Ya size is a problem, I have a cab model Kubota. I have similar tread pattern tires on my Honda Forman. They are exceptionally smooth with no vibration.
The few things you don't like, is just minor things. About storage, if you going out camping with 3-4 people then I totally understand about not enough storage for all gear you bring with you, and probably need a small trailer to pull after. But I think for 1-2 people you should have enough storage for most camping trips. When I go fishing with my atv, I strap on my fishing bag on the backseat so it wont block my view.
I have the 700-2 version and I use the bed for storage. Installed tool boxes on each side, and a spare tire. I still have room to load a nice buck in it. The tool boxes are loaded with tools, First aid kit and things I need for hunting. My only complaints are engine and exhaust noise, and wasted space under the hood.

I'm happy with my 700 however small complaints - the front seat is cheap & foam is pulling away from base and plastic cover is pulling away also. The brakes - useing a single disk brake on the drive shaft is stupid. The rear brakes should be on the wheels, not the drive shaft. That's my biggest complaint
Haven’t had issue with seat yet . And the brakes , oh man I agree . I was disappointed when realized it was like that , but took it down one step hard hill to climb and the brakes had no issues , so time will tell
What I hate is the sounds from it. I even hear a slight scrapping sounds as if there is some dirt in the brakes. I clean the shit out of it and it helps a little but little dusty road make is so bad again. Also there are so many chirps and squeaks coming from everywhere. Some I can see but some idk. Honda says it's normal but it wasn't like that for first 80 KMS. Year later and same thing. Also the diff sounds but I got use to it

Yes they are noisy, Put sound proofing on mine.

You can get a rear extension for additional storage. They are great for one storage area instead of multiple cubbyholes.

I haven’t had issue with gears but I did notice it went down the mountain fast than my foreman . So maybe a lower gear ? What do you think ?

Lack of speed is my complaint. Slows down to 37 up hill in a 50 zone. Wished the 1000 wasn't so much more expensive.

About 36.5 front to back and 44.5 side to side , keep in mind could be less in spots from shape of bed

Ya haven’t had issue yet with gears , but like you said not much rain here .
I had mine down in WV last week riding through trails at an old coal mine. Lots of deep mud and water. Never had an issue. Pulled really well

If I'm not mistaken, it's a couple inches taller than the 1000-5. Making it just barely too tall for my 7' enclosed trailer (78" door).

The single disk on the rear is not a downside, its taken from monster truck technology. Its genius. My pioneer 500 and all Rubicons use it. Love it.

Nope the 1000 is bigger . Go to Honda motor sports online and it gives you the measurements 😉 , but they are supper close like few inches different
