    Excellent video! My car made a horrible whining noise whenever I drove it. Decided to replace the belt and tensioner, and this video popped up. Not a gearhead but I was able to swap the old belt and tensioner out and replace them both. Great video, 1A Auto. Definitely recommend! 👍

    What was the problem leading you to change it? Thanks. Mine is making a knocking noise at idle if I push on the gas the noise picks up. It just started doing it yesterday thank you

    Thanks for the information. I have a buzzing noise that increases when you rev the engine. I thought it was the belt tensioner, so since it was time to replace the belt, I replaced the tensioner as well. Unfortunately, this did not get rid of the buzzing sound. After listening more and watching more CZcams videos, I am pretty sure the noise is coming from the alternator. Wondering if a noisy alternator is a must to replace? The system seems to be charging adequately. I guess eventually the alternator pulley may seize, shredding the belt? What do you think?

    You loosen it going towards the inside of the car or the out?

    Why is there two screws next to the tensioner hole? It’s so confusing
 it definitely sounded like when I took the tensioner puller off I heard and seen a second bolt fall.

    How do you measure how many lbs to tighten the pulley to?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Pƙed 9 lety

      You would need to use a torque wrench to tighten it down. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393

      +TracyT___ Yes, this should be a similar installation but it will be a different part.

      You may be able to apply some of the basic steps shown in this video to your vehicle. The belt routing may be different. However there should be a sticker near the radiator that shows you how to route the belt. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

    why would you replace a tensioner pulley and leave 3 idler pulleys of the same age and usage as the tensioner that has obviously gone bad. This video is very helpful and I thank you for it, but it should have included the idler pulleys and an explanation of the grooved and flat surfaced idler pulleys. That said you guys do have the best automotive how to's on you tube. I always go to your channel first . Thank you for your time and valuable content.
