Correction: At 5:54 I said there are too many vertical Y stripes when I meant to say there are too many horizontal X stripes. I made the correct adjustment in the video but incorrectly stated what I was doing. Sorry for the confusion.
Thank you yea node wrangler is a huge time saver. I've been working on two new ideas for tutorial videos: One that shows you how to export the procedural normal maps I showed how to make in this video, and another tutorial teaching how to model/texture tire geometry. I was wondering if you would be interested in either of these videos, thanks again
Yo wassup bro. Thank you. I'd be down to make another tutorial, I'm thinking about doing one on procedural tire creation so I can keep the car theme going
wow i had a great outcome applying your technique. why do you have only this video man? i think you have big potential in growing up this youtube channel and helping out other noobs like me. I'm definitely subscribing for more ;)
Thank you for your kind words. I probably should make another video that shows you how to bake the procedural normals out to a texture file so you can use what you made in other 3d programs.
@@pyrotechnick420 yes great idea for your next lesson. There is not much information about textures baking in blender and reasons to do it. I really don't understand the process. I saw someone bake ambient occlusion and use that to add a layer of dust on car scene in a desert. A general talk with examples about baking certain things would be awesome. Thanks man
@@nonameishere7234 Oh for sure, I would love to make a video about baking in general, why you would need it, and how to do it in blender. I'm sure there are plenty of videos already on the subject but it would be nice for me to make one
More videos like this please. Can you please do a tutorial for the headlights inner material? (the shiny chrome like stripes) I'm really struggling with that. Thanks
Hey sorry I missed your comment! Are you talking about modern headlights with their complicated inner workings? Are you having problems because its hard to see whats going on inside the headlights? Maybe if you can reply with a link to an image that shows what you're talking about exactly I could try to help you more.
Will it be neat if used on a bike? Of course, the shape of the bike is not just circular but sharp and sometimes curved and Of course, the shape of the bike is not just a circle, like the YZF R1 or BMW 1000RR
If you are using the Glass BDSF shader in blender then all you need to do is place your Light Object inside your headlight and it should work without any tweaks. Let me know if you have any questions
@@pyrotechnick420 yeah I was struggling with it, tried doing it in Substance Painter but realized my skills there are laughable. and then I found this. haha

This was dope. By any chance do you know how to get emission through it? Need some lights!

Which blender version are you running
Hey so this video is super old now this was on 2.93 I believe but all the basic concepts should still apply in the node editor.
