hi, i'm trying to be a OTP Malphite (currently i'm at top 300 of BR) but i think i have a lot to learn yet and here's a question, why shouldn't i buy doran's ring? with the mana reg and the ap it's cool for poking against unfavorable matchups, should i buy doran's shield in those matchups too? i know also this video was made before the changes on the dorans items
You can but it depends on the matchup and what defines the win con you're playing for - i also enjoy Doran's ring but if it's unplayable matchup, survival is more important so dshield provides that against constant poke
