"Payton Turner feels like a pick that a lot of fans sorta forgot about"
Oh trust me, we Saints fans are trying to forget about it
Same with Ravens fans and Oweh
As a Saints fan I forget he's on the team all the time until his name is brought up
When darrisaw went down, you could see how impactful he is. The line fell apart for the Vikings
I appreciate the sentiment, but we also lost Brian O'Neil and Garrett Bradburry, O'Neil being an absolute stud and just as crucial if not more than Darrisaw. We got the short end of the stick on our O-Line health and the end of the year
@MrNightmarekill yeah I hear you. I'm a Bengals fan so I know something about a crippled O-Line lol
Phillips and Darrisaw both beasts of the second half of round 1. Good value for the fins and Vikings.
i was getting excited when darrisaw was falling, unfortunately he went right before my steelers could snag him
Najee Harris is someone difficult to grade. He’s had back to back 1000 yard seasons, 14rushing TDs, 700 receiving yards and 6 receiving TDs. Plus he only has 2 fumbles ever. The only knock though is his YDS per attempt as he had 3.9 in 2021 and 3.8 in 2022. Most of that goes on the OL however a lot also goes on Najee. So I do think he is by far the best RB of the 2021 class, his team has to help him out and Najee also needs to start playing more like a powerback as his YDS per attempt is a huge red flag despite everything good he’s done
He avgs less than 4 yards a carry elite rbs average 5 average rbs avrg 4.5 hes justvnot good lmao
@@user-gb8vp1lf3l did you not read anything i literally just said?🤡 Actually read the whole damn thing before you make dumb comments🤡
@@user-gb8vp1lf3l Like this person said, he is behind one of the worst olines and usually gets hit before he can get past them. Not to mention he's been injured this season.
Good running back, but he runs like his shoes are filled with cement sometimes.
@@user-gb8vp1lf3l not his fault that he literally has to run behind the worst o lineman in the league in Dan Moore
The final Mayock whiff. Leatherwood may have been the biggest of them all.
It takes a lot of skill to whiff on as much draft capital as they had.
@@jandrewhearne Prerequisite for being Raiders GM.
the M E M E C O N N O I S S E U R
Idk how Leatherwood became a bust, he was amazing at Bama
@@elvisfifo same!!!
As a commanders fan jamins improvement has been so good. I didn’t expect him to be this good this fast and honestly I still love the pick . Great video !
The Vikings oline was a top 12 unit before Darrisaw, O'Neill and Bradbury got injured. Just gotta hope that Ed Ingram can improve.
A 1000 yard season used to be considered great. However, I remember when seasons were 14 games long. 1961-1977 was 14. Then of course 16 and now 17.
You have to also think about how much offenses are pass heavy and running backs aren't nearly used as much.
@@mrfrostwing nah them giants we are old school 💪🏿💪🏿
@@mrfrostwing don't average less than 4 yards a carry
Just one man’s opinion, but I think these videos would be easier to follow if you went in draft order instead of reverse draft order. I like the content, either way!
When Najee runs with the beastmode attitude like “no one can stop me,” he is legitimately u stoppable, when he throws himself at defenders he is BIG, I like to call his Derrick Henry’s son with a recessive gene of hops, it’s crazy how such a big dude can jump so good
Miami Dolphins killed the 2021 draft with the selections of Jaylen Waddle, Jaelan Phillips, and Jovan Holland. Young Blue Chip, ascending talents that could have HOF careers.
great draft
I wouldnt say hof careers, pro bowlers maybe but the hall is a lot harder to get in then you think
Lol buddy hall of fame my ass 😭 you gotta be an all world talent for that…
@@samrouth432 Waddle has that potential
@@samrouth432 no you don’t. My biggest quarrel with the HOF is that there is a quota they have to reach every year which means it is pretty easy to get in after a little while
It sucks seeing Payton Turner have down seasons with the injury bug this early. I’m still rooting for him due to my bias of knowing him since middle school but it’s rough seeing those career numbers so far.
As always thanks for the spicy content! 🙏🏻
Love these vidwos
Thank you!
I was waiting for this one
darrisaw is a beast
Payton Turner was an awful pick. He could’ve gone in the 3rd or 4th round. I remember Mickey Loomis saying other teams were looking at him before they picked him, but I think somebody spread some rumors to bait the Saints into making a bad pick. He’s got length, but he’s a tweener. There’s good and bad to having Loomis as GM, and sometimes the bad is him buying into his hype and having the hubris to say “we know better than everybody else.” Sometimes it works out and then other times it doesn’t.
so fucking true, have of Loomis' moves are him trying to Galaxy Brain the rest of the league and it usually backfires (i.e. the draft pick swap last year)
W vid by the goated man
The weird thing is about Najee is he gets better as the season goes. It felt his rookie season it took him a little then went off and same with his 2nd year. With better lineman and play selection I think Najee will be a big force in this offense, especially as he should get rest each game with having a great 3rd down/change of pace back in Warren.
Payton Turner is the definition of a major reach When he was selected I was mildly shocked and not surprised he's a bust unless he somehow turns it around
Great vid
Great job on the video, but one quick nitpick is that JTS was never expected to make an impact right away. His rookie year was JPP’s last in Tampa so he played limited time in a rotational role. The criticism on his game is definitely accurate though and as a Bucs fan I really hope he’ll take the next step this year
Can’t wait for 2020 draft grades
Pls do 2022 second round picks grading
As a Packers fan, we can't put too much blame on the defensive players because Joe Barry's scheme is absolute garbage. He is playing speedsters in zone coverage 10 yards off the line on 3rd and 3.
Please do a 2020 frist round draft grades thank you. Sincerly ~ A fan
They will be out in the coming future
Oweh had to learn a new scheme in his first full offseason. He also missed part of the offseason due to surgery. So this past season was basically a second rookie year.
I always thought Buffalo had a big steal for Gregory Rousseau. He was great in Miami, and I thought he would be better in the NFL. He's showing a lot of improvement, and he's very steady
Btw Najee never missed a game in his career so far 🤷🏾♂️ and as a rb that’s impressive
Give me a break. He has played two years, not two decades.
Wish he didn't play with the lis franc tbh
Its two seasons and last year was horrible
@@sliver64209it wasn't horrible, he had 1,000 yds and 10 total tds on an injury the entire season
@@z0dI57 horrible an overstatement… went from top 5 top mid af
I remember arguing with my coworker about how bad I thought the Giants draft was. The highlight was him bragging Gettleman got an A for not taking Parsons and instead trading back to take Kadarious Toney because Parsons was a "mental head case" Hes a major homer and the Giants literally can't do wrong. Every choice is nothing less than the best decision the team could make. Up until it's not then it went without saying that he knew it wouldn't work. Watching him commit to the take lock of Kadarious Toney being worthy of earning snaps let alone being a teams top WR was especially satisfying. He followed it up in 2022 after the Jets had the DROY and if Breece Hall stayed healthy would have had the two top OROY by saying that wasn't an accomplishment because those picks were so obvious you couldn't miss on them when the Giants had just as draft capital and missed on essentially every pick. Shame it wasn't more obvious for them.
Stokes sophomore slump is largely due to Joe Barry’s dogshit scheme. Stokes had a great rookie SZN and will hopefully comeback strong after his injury, despite Joe’s awful scheme. Can’t blame anyone on that defense for struggling in one of the worst schemes in the NFL
Yet Joe is still employed 😭
@@lrkcm373 Yup. Hopefully LaFleur gets canned with him after this year
I think Leatherwood can become a serviceable starter later on, possibly moving to Guard would help him. He was basically a 4th/5th round talent taken far too early by the Raiders and got 1st round expectations put on him he wasn't ready for.
Najee is an A+. The guy has almost 3000 yards in just 2 years behind a bad O line with the Steelers.
💯!!
Raiders never fail to fail
This was the era when Gruden and the Raiders only drafted players who had played in the College Football Playoff, so it makes sense they took Leatherwood
Bateman played from week 7-18 in 2021 he was just on IR tye first 5 games... 2022 is the season he didn't finish.
crazy how amon ra st brown was drafted 112 in this draft
You are too easy grading a first round RB.
I tried to tell people ETN wasn’t a bad pick when it was made that pick got a lot of hate but our offense needed an explosive play maker at the time in such a bad way and his ability to be a factor in the passing game made him so much more than just a RB in my eyes.
If he can develop into a CMC caliber RB he was worth the pick
My dolphins honestly nailed this draft waddle and Philips then Jevon holland in the 2nd
Najee plays in a JV offense behind a talentless o-line. That said, he’s not a 3-down back bc he can’t pass block & isn’t a great receiver.
That said, he’s one of the most likable guys ever & turns into Earl Campbell at times. I’m rooting for him.
Good video, btw
He’s a pretty good receiver. He’s not like a top tier receiving back, but he has to be in the top half. He helped Ben and Kenny a lot in the last two years when our o-line gets destroyed in half a second
u wtach no film yall niggas just talk out yall ass
KT was the giants front office failing, he’s the most underrated receiver in the league. Go look up his snap count/production ratio, it’s literally the highest in nfl HISTORY. Hes averaging like a catch for 12 yards every 3 snaps he plays, for whatever reason nobody puts him on the field though it’s mind blowing fr
SKOL BABY
Yup. I'm a fervent Saints fan ... and I did not recognize the name Payton Turner. He's a ghost, a phantom, an ethereal spirit wearing a Saints uniform. Oof. Still, he may be able put it together. Maybe the loss of Davenport will give him more attention from coaches and that attention may inspire him. But .... this isn't a league known for being ... patient and waiting with, as Tim Curry might say ... antici .... *PATION* ! 😉
When Caleb Farley was coming out I thought he was the best CB by talent but with the injury I wouldn't draft him. Why teams keep drafting injured players I'll never know, the risk isn't worth it as the Titans found out in getting only 12 games out of him
As a titans fan they suck at drafting. Glad they got a new gm
Between his ACLs and Back issues I surprised he even plays
As a Vikes fan, I'd like to thank the Raiders for drafting Leatherwood so that we could take Darrisaw.
W on Najee grade
I think Leatherwood would be a pretty OK Gaurd, he definitely isn't a tackle
The ravens need an offensive coordinator who thinks outside the box
10:32 Caleb Farley will end up being more remembered for being the first "big name" college football player to opt out of the Covid year, and perhaps more than any other player who did opt out, it hurt him alot. The truth is that he was never a particularly technique driven player in college, he was a pure athlete who was originally recruited to Va Tech to play WR but got switched to corner because Justin Fuente couldn't recruit worth a fuck so they didn't have anyone to play corner after Mook Edwards and Adonis Alexander were both kicked off the team and/or left due to not liking Fuente (if you follow Virginia Tech football at all, it'll be pretty obvious exactly which is right in this situation). He really needed that extra year of College football to polish his technique.
i think najee is a little high. for a first round back to be worth it, you need him to be a home run. he’s a good to very good back, but not a home run. id say B, maybe B+, but A- is too high
I'd still give Farley an incomplete. He was coming off of such a devastating injury it was fair to believe he'd take a year or two to really get up to full speed. If we're in the same spot a year from now, sure low grade. But at the moment I don't think it's fair to grade anything but incomplete.
Payton Turner is not a D- he’s not good but he’s not a turnstile either the saints front 7 has remained sturdy af with him in there. And the way DLine get poached constantly I’m glad we drafted him
kadarius toney is 100% a c minimum considering his season with the chiefs
fa didnt count that season at all
I don’t understand the difference in jalen Phillips (A+) and Greg Rousseau (B-) who had more sacks and similar pressures while missing 3 games with a high ankle also pretty sure Rousseau had a better run stuff grade. Farleys an F because he went in with MASSIVE injury concerns and the titans still drafted him. And darrisaw is 100% a stud from a bills fan who shut down Von miller in a year where he was playing like he was 26 again.
farley went to VT not tenessee lol
I honestly don't understand the hype with Darrisaw.
I'm not trying to hate, I just genuinely don't see it. Like his numbers may look great, but when I've watched him play, he always seems to be screwing up or getting hurt.
I’ll take a 3rd and 6th for a injury prone player any day glad toney did what he did for the chiefs but don’t miss him at all 👋
1000th like
Mentioned slater but not Sewell
Just give Oweh sum time 🙏🏻
I do NOT miss Gruden/Mayock whiffing 1st round picks. I am soo glad they are gone. I don't watch college football but even I could have picked better 1st round players.
THANK YOU MAYOCK/GRUDEN!
Najee will prosper this year if he can stay healthy.
Please learn the difference between "fewer" and "less" 😀
why grade Kadarius only on what he accomplished on the giants. he had much more success with the chiefs. You'll see this season coming up, if healthy, he's going to go off.
Bro Odafe was drafted as a project… kwity gets the benefit of the doubt but he doesn’t? Odafe is more of a freak athlete too. Awful
Rough start to his career and then picked it up nah man u got give them 3 years b4 u can say Rough start
I will never forgive Dave Gettleman for trading down with Micah Parsons there and then at 20 reaching for a receiver instead of picking Christian Darrisaw to protect his franchise QB and franchise RB. If he picks Christian Darrisaw there then the Giants pick Garrett Wilson at 7 in 2022 and we have an OROY WR instead of a third round compensatory pick from a trade. Every single fan knew what Darrisaw was the right pick there and he refused anyways.
Typical Raiders lol
I had Bateman on my fantasy team and man he has a massive upside but injuries and a mediocre QB don’t help
2nd but really 3rd
3rd but really 4th
A- for 3.9 per carry is way too high 🤷♂️
Najee should be an A or A plus he carries dat offense tf r u smokin
First
Najee is a C+ or B- as a Steelers fan he isn’t good. He got better towards the second half of the season but he’s just so slow.
he’s a good back, but the o-line has been terrible. he was also playing hurt, more than the steelers let on. i think his grade is a little high too tho, id say B.
@@UserName-ts3sp it’s no higher than a B-
najee harris is not good and certainly not worth the pick
Jamin Davis needs to leave. No love or respect for any of his fans. I’ve never said a word to dude or bad about dude till now and I’m blocked because some people did say bad things. So bro thought let’s block all the fans.
first
I think too generous for the Viking and Raider tackles, but overall reasonable ratings.
