Saylor is spot on. The evolution for the hardest money continues. It use to be gold, but now it's Bitcoin due to its true fixed supply, better portability, improved fungibility, plus decreased transportation and security costs. Buy what you can, when you can.
I love this. At the beginning, They are showing BTC at 1 month in RED and Gold at 1 Yr in GREEN. However if you're see, BTC at a year, heck at 10 years is eating gold's lunch. Personally, I am holding both because they are showing that the dollar compatibly is worth much less.

BTC volatility will settle down in the years to come as more individuals, corporations and nations get their hands on it and take the coins out of the few that hold them now. One day nations will compete for well to do global citizens and you'll need a vehicle to transport and hold your wealth and assets. BTC fits that bill.

Most of gold's value comes from being a store of value, if you remove that, the only thing left is its industrial use, which is a lot tinier.
@@PierreGleize basel III just upgraded gold to be tier I collateral at full spot price. previously under the BASEL II accords you could only borrow against it at 70% of its value. the LBMA good delivery list even goes down to one ounce bars that you can slip in your pocket.
bitcoin has its uses, along with the lightning network, and bitcoin taproot upgrade will be interesting for privacy and smart contract implementation.
but i think gold will have its season also, especially when you see extreme risk-off behaviour. if you look at the data, bitcoin historically tracks with the stock market just with more violent swings, while gold and bonds move opposite to the stock market.

However, I agree with you that gold will have its season since a lot of the older generation will not embrace Bitcoin. This will be the last season for gold though as the new generation becomes more digital. It's not the first time money has changed form (and it won't be the last). Gold has had a good run of thousands of years, but it will end with Bitcoin.

Investing in Bitcoin is just about as sure a bet as one came make. There are no worries. As Michael said - with a minimum doubling in value every year on average, why invest in anything else? Diversification is simply investing in losers...
Would he do that unless he had full confidence in it? He's screaming from the rooftops because if the US doesn't realize what an opportunity China has handed us by closing down their mining operations it is absolutely criminal. When you understand BTC's potential as a disruptor to the whole banking industry itself, you realize that we need to at least hedge our bets. It is absolutely set in stone that the value will increase over time as adoption increases due to the scarce supply and the decentralized nature of the protocol. Nobody can change the rules. Even if we just hedge ourselves it will pay dividends.

At 3:30 he says the USD will take over numerous currencies. That's where his argument fails .... the USD is the currency that is getting replaced and will no longer be the world reserve asset. In a cashless world, physical gold is the only asset which can escape digital surveillance. We are very close to the beginning of the 40 year credit bubble. Look at a chart of the 10 year bond yield from 1980 and see if you can notice a trend. Interest rates cannot go up because the government cannot service the debt. Hyperinflation of the dollar is coming. My bet is on freedom from surveillance and 5000 years of history. My bet is on gold.

well michael that would be neat. i cant go all in and risk that. i have too many things in life i need to take care of. but due to the possible reality that michael is describing i find it very healthy to hold a few % in btc in every investor's portfolio. imo its a serious mistake to avoid btc at all costs. it belongs to any portfolio and everyone should just buy and hold a little bit. not too much, i cannot be as convinced as michael, but its a mistake not to be in it. thats for sure.
You are not listening. Bitcoin is the safe haven. Much less risky than stocks that actually have earnings.
