It's laughable to think that self driving cars will be on the streets within the next 25 years. It's real easy to have a way more where massive investment and safe guards create less accidents statistically. This is new tech that wants to pass regulatory approval so they will only implement in the safest scenarios. Try putting the cars on boaton streets in the middle of a nor'easter and we will see if people have more or less accidents than the self driving vehicles.

Mr. Buffett, I respectfully disagree. I would not mind paying taxes to a government that has the best interest of the people, but I fear the current government is so corrupt as to purposely print money and raise interest rates for the purpose of harvesting all the proceeds directly back to the government. With the stolen money, They have been able to cover up the destruction of their area again actions such as destroying our large cities, making the people more unsafe, and supporting their political power.

My wife and I have wanted a Tesla for a few years, but now we agree that if we buy an EV it will not be a Tesla. We both think Musk is disgusting.

Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2024 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

value investing is buying a company below net cash liquidation (cigar butt aproach). you can still do it, but the strategy doesnt scale up and it was always less atractive then buying stock that has strong brand and growth (like coca cola, macdonald, visa, or walmart).
