I like how the plane’s engines are screaming, but the plane is barely accelerating. That’s thanks to Airbus’ choice to put the same engines on the older A320’s on a plane much, much bigger.
it‘s not the „same“ engines. i fly the a340; it‘s the same model (cfm56) up to the 300 version, but completely different output as compared to the a320

And the CFM56-5B engine (one of the engine options that power the A320 family), has a thrust rating ranging from around 22,000 lbs for the a318, to the A321 having nearly 33,000 lbs of thrust. The A340-300 is powered by the CFM56-5C4, which produces around 34,000 lbs of thrust, only 1000 lbs more than the A321 engine.
I’m learning the a340 in xplane. It’s sure is a great plane to fly. Definitely was harder to learn since I’m used to Boeing but once I learned it’s now easier than Boeing. And in the sim it even has the camera on the tail 😂
To have a dream is a good start - work hard and keep youe eyes and ears open as opportunities arise from time to time! In order to give you some advice on how you could get yourself going, I would need to know where you live as career paths are somewhat different in Europe, the US or Asia? But it all comes down to either start with flight school and work your way up through all the licenses and flight hours or get into a program with a commercial carrier. I wish you all the best - it is a dream worth following!

I assume that you are referring to the displays? These are old ones and have a low frequency to display the content, so if you are filming in high-res with relatively high FPS it is tough to find the right setting to capture that. I used 30fps which is capturing most of it but ot everytime.

Natürlich kommt dann wieder die Zertifizierung zu den reinen Umbaukosten hinzu, insofern vermute ich, dass alles in allem die Kosten den Nutzwert übersteigen würden.

If that proposed IAE SuperFan was offered as intented, things might have been better for the A340... A big compromise those CFM's for Airbus...

Diese Layouts sind mir leider nicht bekannt. Als ich noch 320 flog, gab es diese bei uns nicht und die 340-Instrumentierung ist ähnlich alt.

Ist EFIS2 (die LCDs) eigentlich eine nachrüstbare Option? DMCs müssen neu und eben die DUs aber Kabellage evt. nicht.@@PapaPadde

Es geht nichts über eine 340-600 , die hat wenigstens ordentlich Power . 🙂
Die Kiste ist so dermaßen lahm, die sollte besser nur auf einer Space Shuttle Landebahn starten.
Mit diesen Motoren braucht es eben etwas länger, um 240 t auf die entsprechende Startgeschwindigkeit zu beschleunigen...! ;-)
